(1.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming).
(1.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) Mass RDM is a permanent ban.
This rule is not applicable in the red zone.
(1.3) Using any sort of modification that changes the functionality of your game is not permitted to be used while you are logged into our servers. This includes non-malicious graphical enhancement utilities. We have systems in place in order to detect and punish users for this type of offence. This offence will result in a permanent ban without chance for appeal.
(1.4) Using any exploits such as looting dead bodies, duplication of items or money, using the ‘Flip Vehicle’ feature outside of its intended purpose, transferring / processing items through walls and windows, and locking doors that have been broken into before 10 minutes have passed, IE those that have been bolt-cut. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not be abused in the future.
(1.5) Combat logging at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).
(1.6) Combat storing, such as storing a vehicle whilst you are being chased, impounding/scrapping your vehicle to gain an advantage or to otherwise prevent roleplay.
(1.7) Trolling - The following examples are considered trolling however there are multiple others so we advise common sense. Running around the police/medics/anyone, throwing yourself in front of vehicles, playing music in any chat or on teamspeak, bombarding the messaging system, buying multiple vehicles to block spawn areas or using them to blow things up, jumping off buildings without RP,spamming the vote admin or vote kick system, talking/playing music in the lobby screen, playing soundboards/voice changers ingame and open TS channels
(1.8) Threats to report / disputes / Breaking RP in Voice. There are so many people on the server with all different points of view and disputes and disagreements are all part of the game, however please do not discuss them in-game also do not break RP in voice. For example if someone has RDM’ed you discussing this on the server or saying “I am going to report you” is not allowed. Please use the forums or teamspeak to report or discuss only. Exception: You may contact someone using the text system if they are not on teamspeak or on the forums. Please only attempt to make this contact in effort to resolve the issue, not to antagonise the other player/users/members.
(1.9) Trading - Roleplay UK does not condone any sort of real life to ingame trading or vice versa. This is due to the fact that we do not want to be looking like a commercial entity, or any of our members for that case. You are free to donate on behalf of a member as an act of kindness, but not in return for an item. Bad Example: “Whoever wants donator send me 2 million in cash.” Exception: “I am having a cross Altis race, winner will receive a free donator package for one month!” (Please authorise with a staff member if you wish to do this, or we may see it as a breach of this rule (A1.9).). Permanent Ban
(1.10) Idling We have one of the busiest Roleplay communities in Europe therefore, if you need to go to the shops or go away from your PC for more than 5 minutes then please kindly disconnect from the server.
(1.11) Teleporting - Once you have spawned in you are unable to respawn unless you have been killed or are stuck in a position due to a bug (please take screenshots). You cannot respawn to get to another location quicker. Abusing the garage system to teleport goods is also considered teleporting.
(1.12) NHS Medics -The NHS are here to help and revive people and have less than 10 slots on the 130 slot server. It is a bannable offence to kill a medic, take their vehicle, take them hostage or rob them. In the Redzone medics may be killed however all other rules regarding medics apply.
(1.13) Please keep all aviation 300m above any greenzone excluding the airport (This is to make sure any roleplay is not disturbed).
(1.14) Spawn Island - You are not allowed to visit "spawn island", and vehicles on the island will be scrapped. Anyone caught firing weapons or stealing from those spawning in on spawn island will be removed.
(1.15) Armed vehicles are not allowed to shoot at any target while sling-loaded or parachuting and off the ground.
(2.1) You must remain in character at all times, unless a uniformed Admin authorises you to speak out of character. Roleplay everything.
(2.2) Out of Character Chat (OOC) interactions must be made over side chat.
(2.2.1) Quick messages to another player in direct chat must be prefaced by the syntax "//"
(2.2.2) Extended OOC interactions are forbidden.
(2.3) Microphones are required on RPUK servers.
(2.4) Side (OOC) chat roleplay is forbidden. You must not use side chat to broadcast events that you observe (for example, you may not broadcast "X are going to rob the bank". The exception is advertising your in game business.
(2.5) You must hot-mic all communications that have been made over teamspeak when they are relevant to influencing the course of roleplay. This means that if you are communicating to fellow team members via Teamspeak and you are in audio proximity range of another player (they can hear you), you must hot mic any commands given so the rival player can overhear. This rule does not apply if both sides are engaged in a gunfight together.
(2.5.1) When your communication devices have been taken from you by another player, you must not use external methods or group chat to communicate with anyone else. Only direct chat is to be used in this case.
(2.6) Continuing to roleplay subjects of a sensitive nature after being requested to stop by another player. Permanent Ban
(2.7) Baiting - Baiting for the sake of a gunfight is not roleplay. Examples: Flying over someone with a chopper waiting for warning shots to instantly shoot them back, robbing a service station with the intent of a gunfight, etc.
(3.1) Using out of game information to influence the course of roleplay is considered metagaming and punishable by a ban, In character forum posts are considered in game information
(3.2) Name Tags / Collar Numbers - You are not allowed to identify players in game via nametags or keychains. Police, NHS and Poseidon ranks and collar numbers are fine, as they “wear clothing with the rank on” unless they are undercover. (Not in their uniform or masked.)
(3.3) When joining the server, you cannot involve yourself in any ongoing hostile situations (eg. RBA or a robbery) involving your group/faction for 15 minutes.
(3.4) If you are restrained and communications have been removed you must not be active on any other forms of communications other than direct chat.
A new life means that your character has lost all previous memories. It still is the character you play, example: You are still apart of the rebels or cops and you still knows all your friends.
Your character forgets the events and information leading up to their death. The only exception to this is your wanted level.
Wanted/Bounty prices are persistent over deaths to enable long winded police chases and bounty hunter chases and without this we wouldn’t have police and bounty hunters tracking down the person with them being on the run for weeks/days. Example: Matt, John and Ben are rebels who try to rob the bank.
During the shootout with the cops, Matt and Ben die, John get's arrested and spends some time in jail. When they all meet again, they all would roleplay the situation in a way that they all tried to get away, because they realized that they couldn't handle the situation. Matt and Ben got away, though John got caught. If the players want to have the deaths involved, they might tell stories of other rebels that died there, who were with them initially.
(4.1) A new life starts, when:
Your character has been killed by a cop.
Your character has died in a RP situation.
Your character has been involved in an accident.
(4.2) A new life does not start when:
Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of VDM
Your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM
You are downed
You disconnect (end of session)
(4.3) When you respawn:
Your character does not remember any previous roleplay situations.
Your character does not remember where any of its vehicles outside the garage are
Your character does not remember any previous enemies (your killer/robber etc)
Your character cannot return within 1000m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the 15 minute NLR timer has expired.
Your character does remember their friends & gang members.
(4.4) When you are revived/downed:
You may not actively enter or continue any combat situation for the next 5 minutes.
Your character retains all knowledge of the time before they are downed.
While you are downed you may not divulge tactical information to anyone. The exception to this is information spoken in direct chat in game. Please be mindful that you are heavily injured and should act accordingly.
This does not apply if your character has been the victim of a clearcut case of RDM/VDM.
There are 4 types of marked zones that you will experience on the map.
Green zones are “Safe” areas where players are able to convene without hostile interruption. They are not safe havens from the law however, Police can attempt to arrest you.

(5.3.4) NLR still applies within the static redzones but the NLR timer is only 5 minutes long.

Roleplaying as a rebel or a criminal on the server is an exciting roleplay opportunity and a huge part of the game however to make sure this is fun for all we have some important guidelines and rules.
(6.1.1) Taking hostages must be roleplayed to a very high quality.
(6.1.2) Own gang hostages - You are unable to take your own gang member(s) hostage.
(6.1.3) Killing someone must be carried out with high quality roleplay, “put your hands up or I will shoot” etc is considered low quality RP and may lead to a ban for RDM/Fail RP. Executing another player must also be carried out with high quality roleplay, the only exception to this rule is if both you and the victim are engaged in a gunfight together.
(6.1.4) Using the in game phone to warn police You are unable to use the ingame phone to warn the police for example "“Any cops seen within ‘x’km will be shot on site”
(6.1.5) Police Sirens - When the Police put on their sirens lights to pull you over to attend to a scene this does not mean RP has been initiated on their point, if you shoot without engaging in RP then this is classed as RDM.
(6.1.6) Spike strips - Use of spike strips doesn't constitute any form of roleplay. Failure to engage in quality roleplay is classed as RDM.
(6.1.7) Warning shots must be issued with 3 tracer rounds past the front and rear of the aircraft. Enough time should be given to comply before taking action.
Heists are a crucial part of the island and need planning before undertaking. There are currently 5 different heists on the island namely, HM Treasury (HMT), International Reserve (IR), Armed Response Weapon Cache (ARWC), Poseidon Drug Stash (PDS) and The Continental (TC). The HMT, IR and ARWC are under Police jurisdiction and are therefore defended by them exclusively, and the same goes for Poseidon with the PDS and TC. There are a few strict rules for these locations
(7.1) General Heist Rules
(7.1.1) Any Police/Poseidon who we find logged out on purpose to bring the number of defenders down under 15 (HMT and TC) or 10 (PDS, ARWC and IR) will be banned. If you need to log out during a known active heist, please inform a member of staff.
(7.1.2) Filling your vehicle up with any content from the heist without going outside the building is not allowed as this is considered exploiting – Permanent Ban
(7.2) The HM Treasury (HMT) and The Continental (TC) are the two biggest heists and there are some specific rules that apply.
(7.2.1)The defending faction will always send in or have on-site an unarmed negotiator who will make themselves known. This is part of the heist. You can either start roleplay with the negotiator or decline negotiations by asking them to leave. You cannot kill them - they must leave, and if killed it is bannable. You also may not kidnap the negotiator.
(7.2.2) When the blasting charge has been planted it is considered that any opportunity for negotiation is over. After this the defending faction may try to storm the building. At this point any combat is not considered RDM. Once the content of the vault is outside of the compound and there has been no combat for five minutes normal server rules apply.
(7.2.3)There needs to be at least 15 members of the defending faction online, please check this before turning up. The vault is coded so it will not open if there are less than 15 defending faction members online so it will be a waste of your time.
(7.2.4) This is your operation with the friends/group members that are there with you. You may not call for backup, only those on site at the beginning of the heist may take part. The whitelisted factions may return after NLR timer is up however civilians may not.

(10.3) Do not rent vehicles or purchase equipment as a medic then switch to civilian and use them.
(10.4) Combat Reviving - If combat is in effect, or shots have been fired within the last 5 minutes, the area is not safe to enter for rescuing the injured. Therefore, you cannot revive at this time. This rule is exempt for civilians using defibrillators.
(10.5) You must not abuse your role as an NHS member to assist your friends in any way.
