About This Group

Everything and anything about Star Citizen :)

  1. What's new in this group
  2. Gurlanin

    3.2

WiDoW is a pain, but profitable. It's where most people on the servers are. I tend to explore the planets and moons, but would probably get a bit more involved with something like JumpTown if others were around.
  3. Wicker

    3.2

I have been playing, but I dont really have anything to do, cus the only thing I generally can do thats productive is black widow to make some cash
  4. Gurlanin

    3.2

Who's playing it? Who wants to play it? Currently just fawning over my 600i (which looks sexy af btw). Mining is a thing now. Haven't been able to get a hold of a Prospector in game to try it out yet, but I've seen a few videos and it looks pretty darn good. Nice little money maker.

    Will do!

    3.1

Send me a message on TS or something when you're around! I'll open up my channel for it or something.
  8. Alfred Devolt

    3.1

I will attempt to join later, around 11 I think
  9. Gurlanin

    3.1

3.0.1.4 (I think) was the most recent version. Was more of a bug fixer patch. Basically the way they're doing it is in quarterly updates. Those are your big 3.X number advances. 3.1.X will be a bug fix patch, rather than a content update. This one adds five new ships, for example, so is a content patch rather than just a bug fix. FPS should SHOULD be better in this, but who knows? :P
  10. Ant Arni

    3.1

Didn't 3.0.1 just come out? Is the FPS even better than before now?
  11. Gurlanin

    3.1

Update is live, folks! 11GB update, but at least we don't have to download everything all over again, eh? I'll be jumping on later (after some food!) to mess around and explore the new ships, so if you want to join me then you're more than welcome!
  12. Gurlanin

    3.0

Further to my last, I have been playing a lot more. It's a fair bit more stable, but still has the annoying occasional bug or glitch. Next patch (ETA next couple of weeks) is meant to do a lot to stabilise what they have already.
  13. Gurlanin

    3.0

If the update is as good as they say it's going to be, then yes. Depends how persistent things are, what I can buy with my in-game money, etc.

    UNBANNED Star Citizen Hangers

Oh boy, how did I only just find that this group existed? And here I was thinking I was the only one! :P I (obligatory profile link) have got a fair few ships, most of which I have for my org, the Iron Banking Corporation (IBC) (which you should all totally join!). In no particular order: 350R Prowler Banu Merchantman 890 JUMP Herald Defender Glaive Eclipse Constellation Phoenix / 600i Explorer (got the upgrade, but haven't applied it yet as I haven't decided which one I want) I've had to cut myself off from buying any more. My bank balance doesn't like me at the moment! My org has a number of other ships as well that people want to use together, including: Polaris Reclaimer Idris (unless he melted it down again) Retaliator Starfarer
  15. Slater

    UNBANNED Star Citizen Hangers

Banu Merchantman, Carrack, Buccaneer, Herald, 350r, Hull B, Prospector and a Nox :P Most of the ships will be for my org Titan Union as I cannot crew them all myself.

Cutlass Black, Freelancer, Aopoa Nox and Ursa Rover I've spent way too much on this...

    3.0

Newest update is so close! Gone into the 'pre-alpha' stage Planetary travel + interplanetary travel, ground vehicles, trading, proper missions, more ships, so much new stuff and it's the biggest update yet! Anyone else planning to start playing it a bit more now?

yeah you will struggle to find a game package with LTI on it. But in Nov, they will likely sell the Aurora MR Starter Package for $35. So you could buy the starter package, then melt your superhornet, buy the say the Origin X1 (think Dragonfly or NOX) for somewhere around $40-$50 and upgrade it back to your superhornet to get LTI. The X1 is likely the next concept ship so it makes sense that it comes out around then.

Here's hoping c: Might end up with 2 Supers though, actually went a looked and noticed that I upgraded my original pledge from the Aurora to the Super Hornet, don't think I can apply it to that aha

There are 1 or 2 big sales coming up: Anniversary Sale in November, CitizenCon and GamesCon. The last two might not have anything on sale but the other will likely sell 95% of ships including the F7C-M. You can get a hold of a new ship which is cheaper than the F7C-M, you can upgrade it and gaze in awe of your shiny LTI F7C-M :)

Sounds good C: Guess I won't be getting LTI onto my Super Hornet anytime soon then :(

When 3.0 comes out and the Cutlass Rework is finished, hit me up and I'll let you fly mine around and you can see what you think. Same goes for the other ships I have. Although the Freelancer MIS isn't flight ready, and until the Blue is reworked, I'll have a Cutlass Black.

Basically, you buy a ship with LTI and then upgrade the ship to keep the LTI. CCU (Cross Chassis Upgrades) can be used to upgrade as well. And for a time, you could buy say, Caterpillar to BMM CCU for $0 as they were the same price. Now when the BMM went from $250 to $350, you can still upgrade a Cat to a BMM with that CCU token you bought for $0 which means you saved $100 (if the cat is still on sale for $250 and you dont already have/want one) The best thing to do when a ship (not a ground vehicle like the cyclone) comes out with LTI for cheap, like the Nox or Dragonfly, is to melt your existing ships, buy the LTI ship and upgrade it to the ship you had for the same price (or a little more). The only problem with this is if you have a rare ship that's not on sale all the time. Like the Cutlass Blue. So you buy the LTI ship and store it until you can upgrade it when the rare ships come on sale. The next sale will be Citizen Con/Games Con and the big sale of the year; Anniversary Sale. (they're not "sales" as in discounts... just that ships not normally for sale will be available) in 2016 I melted my ships, bought equal number of Dragonflies and then upgraded them to what I have (except the Aurora, as I needed a game package). If you're leaning towards Bounty Hunting and planetary landing, I'd go with a Cutlass. The Red and Blue are due out in 3.1 and will definitely go on sale then. you can fit DF and Nox in them to get around on the surface too. If you're not happy, you can CCU to a freelancer for less combat more cargo options.

@Heatproofsean Honestly, I'm still not 100% sure on how to best play the store system with regards to "LTI", "Melting" ""CCing" etc etc. With regards to my next ship, I suppose I am looking for something more planetary based (mainly for 3.0) so I guess it would be focused around cargo and whatnot. When it's "Out out" I'm toying around with the idea of being combat focused (bounty hunter type deal) - but may switch to a more "hauler" based profession if I don't like how the combat turns out.

Very much depends what you want to do in the verse. F7C-M is a great ship, but it is a carrier based ship. What that means exactly is unknown, but don't expect to hop to many systems before refueling. It's very much limited to patrolling, which is why the Warden was made. Even if they did rip everyone off due to the concept not matching the final product. I'd go with a Freelancer or Cutlass depending on if you want to go more cargo or fighting. In Theory, the Freelancer MIS will be very potent at both but missiles will be a big financial sinkhole. Still, need to wait for 3.2 (i think) for the MIS to be finished. My Fleet is a bit of everything: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizens/heatproofsean Drake Dragonfly YJ Drake Cutlass Blue Drake Caterpillar MISC Freelancer MIS RSI Aurora MR I used the DF concept sale to buy LTI and then upgrade them to the respective ships. So next time a ship concept comes out, it's worth bagging one or two for $35 and then upgrading to the ship you want to get LTI. When the Games Con and Anniversary Sale come up, rare ships like the F7C-M, Freelancer MIS and Cutlass Blue will be up for sale. Just remember you will be able to buy ships in-game. And that your money is better spent on either bigger ships like BMM, Cats, Starfares or bigger, or a good solo ship like a Bucc, Sabre, Hornet, Freelancer, Cutlass. I'm interested to see what others got.

So what ships do people have so far? I have a Retaliator and a Buccaneer.
