Ban Reason: Copying contents of RPUK's website.
Why do you think you were banned: After speaking with Stavik a couple years ago or so we ran into a disagreement on whether I have copied contents of RPUK's police website. We've had this discussion which led to a mutual disagreement and a ban has been placed on myself from RPUK's discord and possibly the server, however I'm not sure whether a ban has been placed your server.
Why should we unban you: [NOTE]: I'm creating this appeal on my old account instead of my new one as I've managed to remember my password.

RPUK is a highly advanced server which many other servers imitate, like they say - imitation is the greatest form of flattery. As someone who was at the time building a new police from the ground, I thought I'd take the idea of a police website and the layout however NOT the contents. The contents came from College of Policing website adjusted to our police service at the time and this can be proven.

This happened a long time ago and the website was taken down after a week of mine and Stavik's discussion and I created something unique that is mine and to the server I worked on at the time.

I believe I should be unbanned because to put it quite simply, I'm wanting to return to play some police roleplay after work - I don't enjoy games much but RPUK is something that I always found enjoyment in and the hyper-realism is what I am looking for and have been since I started playing RPUK since 2022. I'm not interested in any silliness or childish behaviour, I'm 24 years of age with a busy schedule and during my free time I'd like to simply enjoy an old game I used to play and sincerely enjoy. I have no malicious intentions neither am I slightly bothered by being a big name somewhere.

My intentions are clear and as simple as it could be; I want to enjoy an old game I found great fun in. That is all. I hope we can reach a positive outcome and a welcoming return, I hope I can contribute to RPUK by simply being a player who tunes in when he's free.

Hello there @Shin Kaneki , I remember you quite well actually.

Especially the disappointment when I got sent that C&P website, after people put hours and hours into your police training - which gave you great access to the work other people have provided, didn´t it?

Now, you are saying that the contents where not from us. That´s interesting, considering I remember going through page after page and comparing both websites... What I found there was almost an exact copy of the wording.

So, tell me... What made you think it was okay to do what you did?

In it's initial release it was a copy of the website reworded for my own project, as stated above it was taken down a week after because I realised it's not a moral thing to do to copy contents from one place to another. Which is when I relaunched the website in it's all entirety to be uniquely ours. Therefore, it was not okay neither did I think it was okay - I faced consequences from that decision which led to a very, very long restriction from the community and a ban from the server.

I have righted my wrongs and everyone in the server knew it was a replica of RPUK, not to worry - I placed credit where it was due, however again as stated above I realised it's not right and took the website down and created something uniquely mine whilst still maintaining the idea of keeping a website.

I hope if we come to a positive outcome, you could train me again! This time I won't disappoint. My honest intentions are to simply... play the game and play by the rules.

To add on; all I can really do in this situation is say I apologise, I have apologised before, and I still do now years later. I'd love to publicly address that the police website I created was through RPUK's contents but I have already done that and provided credit where it was due. I can sincerely say the very long time ago that I did decide to copy RPUK's website I should have asked for permission to use certain contents instead of coming across as stealing.

My intention is to stay, I'm not looking for ranks or roles anywhere at all - I am beyond that point, I simply want to enjoy a game and stay in the community. Play the server when I am free to do so, and contribute to RPUK.

My apologies, I have been otherwise occupied and this has slipped my mind. Now, the issue we have here is that you have, quite frankly, broken our trust. Many people, including myself, have put a lot of time and work into the things that you have copied and it just doesn´t sit right that you practically stole intellectual property of ours to give yourself a head start on a different server - surely you understand that?

What if I was to let you back in? The last time we had high expectations for you and your character, which made it even more of a shame that we spent so much time on your training for you to go off with our material right after. It was disappointing to say the least. How can I, with a good conscience, allow that you might gain access to yet another set of documents that people have put work into?

I completely understand where you're coming from, if I was in your position and allowed someone like myself to appeal early I would absolutely deny the request. However, I allowed some time to reflect on what I have done for the past year or so and understood that appealing early is definitely not a thing I should do, therefore giving a very lengthy time to reflect. I made right by my self by publicly announcing the content the players are viewing is with credits to RPUK, which led quite a few players to move to your community as they rightfully should, why should they play a server which copies and pastes when they can play the original. At the time, when I have made this choice it wasn't with the idea of stealing nor the idea of copying and pasting, that didn't even cross my mind that's how innocent the idea was, It was quite literally - imitating as a form of flattery, but it turned to bite me in the back.

If you was to allow me to return to RPUK, the place where I started my first ever roleplay journey. I would be ever so grateful, but being grateful doesn't allow me to return so please allow me to explain how I will ensure trust is not broken again; I will guarantee to only play RPUK, I am simply not interested in other servers, if I was I would have been playing FiveM again. However, I have not touched FiveM in a very long time because my interest in enjoyment only lies within RPUK. My intentions are pure, and I can by all means prove this in any way shape or form advised by you. Like I stated many times, all I wish to do is come home from work, and enjoy RPUK in peace and work towards my goals within the server whilst providing a fun gameplay experience to others and myself maintain a positive attitude.

I'm too old to be doing childish stuff like I did before (considering this happened longer than a year ago) a lot can change in a year or so and so have I. To answer your question is in regards to allowing me to gain access to another set of documents; I understand this can be seen as a risky move from the staff team. I can only prove my intentions through results and the results I wish to deliver is being part of the community and simply enjoy the server. Talking can only sway the mind, but actions will deliver results, and those results will be delivered to prove that my intentions are not malicious and will never be.

I'm quite frankly being as realistic as possible with this response, and I hope you see this too. I cannot stress enough how good my intentions are for RPUK and how I simply just want to play the game with no other malicious intentions. I have zero interest in other servers or other FiveM related communities. To finalise this response, I'd like to you to see and understand that I am not giving a response to read which fits the category of acceptance, I am giving you honest and realistic responses, I believe the first start to a potential positive outcome is in this ban appeal. Therefore, my answers remain honest and not a false model response.
