Specialist Protection Group | Public Protection Request

Dear Citizens of Altis,

The Specialist Protection Group (SPG) are now accepting requests for protection from the public. SPG provides protection to high profile individuals (VIPs), mainly the mayor and members of police command. However, SPG would like to broaden its horizons by looking for those with an avid interest in roleplay, preferably who are well known to the island and who would want to roleplay as VIPs (such as governors and government officials, politicians, diplomats and various other VIP positions). SPG wishes to look for the most experienced roleplayers with the best ideas, and due to other police duties and responsibilities, SPG will only be able to offer the best of the best these opportunities. SPG will provide close protection to those who wish to roleplay as these characters, either through internal operations or as staff induced server events. It is worth mentioning that before attempting to obtain protection that our rules state that if you are wanted or were convicted within 24 hours of the beginning of your protection you will not be allowed protection. Also make sure that you don't violate our terms too much as you may end up with a SPP (Suspension of Protection Privilages) where you are denied all protection from SPG for a specific amount of time.

Additionally, you may still request protection from SPG officers at any time by simply contacting them through the relevant frequency or police dispatch. If they are not busy they will be happy to protect people doing a wide range of things, such as; legal runs, roleplay scenarios and events (Eg. weddings and meetings) or even simple VIP roleplay. You do not need to necessarily file a PPR to receive protection. PPRs are more specifically for pre-planned operations and server events.

For more information about the unit and how it works please read our Unit Information Document and Public Information Section. Additionally, feel free to message any of our command team.

To request specialist protection, apply here

Signed,
Inspector Ace J Hunter
Chief Of Specialist Protection.

Thought this was not a thing anymore

You are thinking of DPG (Diplomatic Protection Group). Yes, that is no longer a thing. However, SPG is a new unit with DPG elements and other more advantageous features that make it integrate better within the police. These include protection of people other than the mayor, protection of key infrastructure across the island (such as the RBA treasury) and finally all SPG officers are specially trained in negotiation skills.

I’m thinking of doing an Lsd run? What do u say?

We are only looking for people who want to roleplay as VIP officials. Meaning people who would normally receive police protection in real life, such as royalty. Not just random people who want protection and especially not lawbreakers.

Top banter you lot gents, personally, I find it funny how you all fail to understand that the main function of this unit is roleplay (if any of you know what the word means of course).

So we had to step in once, and now we are back.

Anything more "off-topic" will be 1 week of the forum.

How can you tell if it is a SPG patrol and not just another normal/NCA patrol
