Dear Citizens of Altis,

After the recent outbreak of a new virus on Malden, a citizen of Altis has recently been infected whilst on holiday. He has been evacuated by boat and is on his way to Altis. The Specialist Protection Group and the National Health Service will be working together to safely and securely escort the infected patient to Kavala hospital from the MPU harbour. They are expected to arrive on the Island around 20:00 GMT. All flights and other travels to and from Malden have been cancelled until further notice as we attempt to control the virus and its spread. Due to this, precautions have been set up as Kavala hospital will be under lockdown as the patient is in quarantine. The Specialist Protection Group will also be working with the National Health Service in setting up checks around the Kavala area, so please do not be alarmed if you are stopped, examined and tested. We are working hard to ensure Altis is not badly affected by the virus and we appreciate cooperation from the public in aiming to prevent its spread. The virus travels by air, so please take extra care by wearing a mask and washing your hands before eating. If you have any symtoms of a dry cough, shortness of breath, fever and any other flu-like symptoms please contact the NHS immediately. (OOC: If you are interested in being a part of the event Eg. An infected patient, please contact me ASAP)

After a successful operation, the virus seems to have been contained. Thank you to all the civilians who cooperated and reported to the hospital after reporting symptoms. We had 8 suspected cases, 4 patients who were actually infected where 3 survived, including patient zero who came in from Malden (@Smurfy_E3). Though we had 1 casualty due to cardiac arrest, after also having had a comprimised immune system. In conclusion, the NHS worked hard and we were able to successfully contain the virus. We expect there to be no more cases of the virus, however, if you do experience similar symptoms, please report to your nearest hospital. I'd like to thank everyone involved; all the SPG officers, regular police officers and everyone else involved. I'd like to give a special thanks to @CMO Phoenix @Sarge @Proxeum @Neb for their amazing NHS work.

Signed,Chief Inspector Ace J HunterChief Of Specialist Protection.
