The Kozlice 12G Long-Barrelled Shotgun
It has been expressed by a few that the citizens of Altis would like more freedom when it comes to their choices of firepower. This Altis Police Board have decided that our best answer to this would be to officially legalise the long barrelled Kozlice shotgun for self defence. As with all legal weaponry, it should be secured and hidden from sight unless intending to use the firearm. The presence of a firearm will be taken as a potential threat by the Altis Police.

We've taken this decision to try and better strike the balance between providing adequate self defence assets whilst also making every attempt to reduce unnecessary harm and the provocation of violence. It's worth mentioning that Kozlice shotguns that have been modified are still illegal, this includes but is not limited to: barrel length modifications, addition of an optic, non-standard ammunition, etc.

If you have any questions on the matter, you are more than welcome to ask. We'd be happy to provide guidance as to what is and isn't acceptable.

Kind Regards,
Chief Constable Gordon

Any legalization on the short barrel variant?
Due to the form-factor of the short barrel variant, we believe that there's a higher likelihood of it being used as a concealed weapon with much higher firepower than that of a pistol. The threat presented by the long-barrel shotgun is far more obvious due to its size and difficulty to conceal. For this reason, the short-barrel version will remain illegal for now, pending review.
