Jaffa & Development Lead
This weekend Jaffa has decided to take the hard decision and stand down from the Altis Life Development lead position.
We as the management team and the community as a whole would like to thank Jaffa for his time in leading the Altis Life development taking over from DJ and stepping up to a position he did not apply for and no doubt didn't want at the time due to commitments at an important time to settle the ship.
Jaffa has worked hard with many successful releases during his time as development lead and introduced many features to the server.
Real Life must come first and unfortunately that means there isn't the time to lead the team however the brilliant news is we do not lose his incredible skills and he remains an Altis Life developer working on features when he has the time.
Ciaran in his role as development management takes over from Jaffa for the interim period until a decision is made on who will take the team forward.
New Altis Life Developers
Last week we asked for new applications to expand our Altis Life development team we are now holding interviews and making appointments to get more people on board to work on new features and make changes based on community votes to get our server in a position the community enjoys more.
I am delighted to welcome our first two appointments in @Nomadand @CSI LastNickLeft who have now joined the team.
We are still looking for new applications! If you have something to offer the community please come forward and submit an application
The Future
The future can only mean one thing for the long term success of this server which is now less than 6 months away from being 7 years old and that's continued development to bring exciting features and deliver on what people want.
A movement now needs to take place on what we focus on for future releases
We are not moving away from being a Roleplay server lets be clear about that and our rules back that up but things like the redzones which we have had in different forms since 2014 interest people and we should and will cater to that, If that keeps the fighting away from the towns and the Roleplay then its only a positive.
