is it only me or is it impossible to get away when got arrested with roleplaying

it just never works they just want it done so they can move on they cant hear me out

example: we got take after a fight against the cops then the cop crashed his car and one of us 3 who got arrested got killed by it and me and the other guy who survived got very damaged and he didnt even get compensation for that he killed him by driving towards the prison

I don't really see how that example is roleplay related. Apart from that i think it is indeed not always easy to roleplay your way out of certain things, that's how it should be though, cops letting me walk with my Mxm because "it's a hunting rifle" or something like that just feels wrong. Even when your rp story is way better than that you still can't expect to walk away everytime, good roleplay does also not necesarily mean you won't lose your rifle/go to prison.

Personally I think it's highly possible to get pardoned or get away with a crime with role playing with the police in my experience. During my time in the cops I was always told by Walt to reward good role play. And as a civilian role playing with the police has been very beneficial, for example Kaius and I have done role play HM's and weed runs without having to pull the trigger.

It is pretty easy to get away from the cops if you provide some good roleplay and put a smile on their face ;)

Have a good story, if you've done something thatt has to be punsihed by prsion then there's almost no chance of escape. However, you'll find most the time a small ticket or a caution will be given!

@elias_000cops are much more likely to let you off with something creative than something they've heard before. A good example of an overused RP story (and I'm sure most cops will agree) is the classic "fishing rod" and "walking stick" stories for people with illegal weapons. Just try be as creative as possible

Yeah and for got the best bit is when they go "it's a paint ball gun or BB gun"

When it comes to guns it's best to say it's an actual gun but you have to have a role play story of why you have that weapon and why you're allowed to have it. As it may be a paint ball gun or BB gun but if it looks like a gun it's enough to cause fear and distress within the public, which may result in the carrier of the suspected firearm of assault.

Do something original. Do something creative. Do something different!

The amount of times I have heard the same washed up shit that doesn't add up whatsoever is ridiculous.

'Oh officer, that's my great great great great great grandads fully kitted out Mk14 complete with silencer and DMS.' Why would you carry it around as if it was a toy then?

If you make an effort to prep for your RP and put some thought into it for if you get caught (and I don't mean have 10 snipers on the hills) but prepare a valid story with props that work and entertain, then you will be able to get away with a reduced ticket 50% of the time.

When i first started on this server i was robbing Gas Stops,I always RPed with the Negotiator & the cops afterwards,& every time a friendly officer gave me 500k & said thanks for the RP.I got my first truck because of RP related rewards.

When I went on police holiday the first thing I did was rob the RBA branch in Kavala(no longer there on the new map) and I walked out with police escort. I also robbed the HM and got a police escort to the gold buyer.

Good roleplay is rewarded, although not always by the lower ranking officers as they're usually fairly new to the police and just want to stick to the handbook and make sure they don't do anything wrong.

Like others have said; Prepare your story! I usually look up some random country, learn a phrase in their language and some random facts and then build a small 'profile' around that(My name, my age, my hometown, why I came to Altis, parents?, friends?, etc.) and improvise!

Pretty sure i had to take you back home since i caught you drink driving ^^

I let people off a LOT if they have good roleplay.
Some of the officers I'm with give me weird looks. But if you got a good story that fits the particular situation we are are in, I will just give you a ticket, impound (not crush) the truck to remove the drugs if that's we are talking for, and tell give you a middle school like lecture about drug use.
Try to come up with good excuses based on the situation, not ones you just heard that worked before.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard:

  • It's not my truck, and my names not X, it's Y...X is my friend and I left my license at home.
  • If you dont let me go I have 500,000 snipers ready to shoot you.
  • It's a paintball gun.
  • I live next door to the drug dealer. Why I was in the area 15 times in the last hour.
  • Someone just handed this to me, and he ran off RIGHT before you got here.
  • I have to do this, they have my family hostage and kill me if I dont finish this run.
Not saying they are bad roleplay if done right. Heck I would take any of the over used ones if you had the acting flare with it. But to get a deadpan, no emotional "My family is hostage. need to finish" dont cut it. Got to remember like real life you are trying to convince the cops of your lie. IF it wouldn't even remotely be believable by how you say it, in real life...

But if you  can come up with a reason that fits the current situation, that has some plausible deniability I will work with you on it and play it out with you. Think of it this way: If the officers have heard that excuse in real life 500 times, it wouldn't fly, they catch on. Same here.

Also civilians seem to think of us like game AI, we forget who you are. If I pulled you over 10 times in the last week. I kinda know who you are by now. Telling me your are someone else, and not the same guy makes no sense. I play it by if I can recognize your voice (I turn nametags off). Then I know your name if you told me before.

me myself never gets away with it :(
Just be creative, make them laugh, I've witnessed someone get away with picking weed infront of the police who were arresting people picking weed at the time by telling them he was picking flowers and 'grass'. It was so simple and yet his sheer bravery made them laugh and let him carry on

People complain about police's roleplay, and it's not completely wrong, but it is in no means right.

You need to be unique in your stories, let the officers get enjoyment out of the situation instead of being like "It's a fookin' painball gun you twat". The nicer you are to the officer and the quality of your RP will determine how nice and lenient they are with you.

I have let people go with crazy bounties just because they had a bit of a laugh and had great RP. Learn from someone like @Finchyy, there's been more than one situation where he has come up to me with his gun and ended up just having a laugh and going on his merry way...

So, to put it simple if you're nice to the cops, they'll be nice to you. If you're a dick towards the cops, they will be a dick back.

Of course there is cases where officers roleplay is just downright poor, but that's what the Police Complaints Commission is for.

Yesterday we got away with 3 iffrits after a good story, and cool officers!
It's all about you showing them that you want to roleplay as well. If you start driving away every time you hear a siren, and you dont talk to them before you crash and see no way out (usually after 10-15 minutes meaningless driving).

That happens to them 8/10 times. So they get tierd of it. At least thats what I think.

If you jump out, start talking before the chase have started, and you try to provide some good storys, or just talk, they usually give some more slack.

And you ofc have to talk to the person with respect, even how much you hate the cops.
If you just trash talk them, they will never even think about  letting you go.

My example: I was pulled over by a cop near HM during the robbery. I wasn't involved in it, but I was "in a wrong place in wrong time"... in a HEMTT full of drugs. Obviously, officer wanted to check contents. Due to RP, good story, and RP will from the officer he escorted me to a secret location where I could safely stash the contetnt of my truck :)

It depends on the person who you are roleplaying with, for example if you come up with a good rp story for something you have done I can be extremely nice and let you go or give you a small ticket just like many other officers. I have also encountered officers who do not listen and only go with what they believe in.

It is most likely because your story does not add up or it is not good enough.
