When arma is running Arma and computer keeps freezing and not responding

i open up arma and it runs fine get into game and it starts freezing for about 3 mins then goes back then freezes again any ideas?
 

 
What are your PC specs and does it freeze then load in to the game eventually or just completely freeze so you have to quit and start again also does this only happen on arma are other games running fine

other games run fine i open arma its fine then suddenly freezes for 5 minutes then goes back to normal or it goes not responding so i have to restart arma

okay first thing i'd do is update your graphics driver and then verify your arma 3 files on steam
