And when it takes 45 minutes to just  say "connection time out "

Got to love belated rewards on the website: though getting my 5 year forum award (albeit quite a few months late!) just before the 6 year RPUK anniversary does seem fitting.

Welcome to the 5 year club 👌

Just remembered to log out and back in so that I could get that sweet 4 year achievement!

It's been a good four years.

Finally got a chance to play the Star Citizen Alpha 3.2.0 update, and I have to say my new 600i Explorer is one sexy beast. Very happy with the upgrade from my Constellation Phoenix. Downside is that there's a bug with the interaction menu and pilot's chair which means I can't actually get in the pilot set in the PU yet, but she's gorgeous to look at and walk around, and flies very nicely in Arena Commander!

Definitely going to be using her a lot.

You have solar system soon, yet Elite has whole Milky Way. Also you dont need to pay insane hundreds of $ to actually own one ship.

I enjoy Elite, but it's a different style of game. In ED, you control just the ship. In Star Citizen, you control the person controlling the ship. You can get out, have a stroll, buy new clothing, walk around on that planet, rather than just drive ...

Time for some more Star Citizen!

The comparison between ED and SC is a bit unfair, considering that SC is still in Alpha and ED has been fully released for a couple of years now.

I enjoy both, though. They are different. If SC was finished, it would probably be my favourite, because you control the character rather than the ship.

Star Citizen is actually running fairly smoothly for me, which is nice.

If anyone wants to come and join me, let me know!

Heard that its running great but theres random polygons everywhere which crash your game. Is that true? Might download it again to give it a go, could barely get it to work in 3.0

This is the most stable I've ever seen it. Still got glitches and the like, but I'm able to actually play it for long periods of time now, which is a nice change. Currently just flying around and exploring the new locations.

Oh, and I just got killed by riding the elevator, but there isn't a penalty to dying and it just respawned me in the station I died in, so I'm good.

Police, Rebel, NHS, or Civilian: we are a community together.

What happens in game should stay in game, and be treated as some fun. Don't drag it into something that's just going to upset everyone. Keep it off the forums, and out of PMs.

Be prepared to lose, and don't be cruel if you win. Relax. Enjoy yourself. Have a laugh, a joke, and a BBQ on Kavala beach.

At the end of the day, we're all just people sat behind computers wanting to have fun: so let's enjoy ourselves together!

Going to Sci-Fi Weekender to get my geek on! If anyone else is going to be there, let me know!

Note to self: next time I get invited to do a 12 hour shift, with 10 hours of foot patrol in a high alcohol consumption environment ... say no!

Cheltenham Races can be fun, but boy can those punters drink!
