Yea, that's not going to work. We have only two ISPs - Du and Etisalat. Regardless of which one you go for, they are both owned by the government. Viva Monopoly! That's why they can take yo' moneyz and get away with crappy service.

@Zeito, I could try asking a few of my friends to do the tracert tomorrow and send me their results. Yes, Dubai's ISPs are infamous for how terrible they are. I'm just curious why it started today and I wasn't having this issue the entire week. EDIT: Do you know if WTFast is going to help...

Tried that. didn't help. Also, did speed test with 5 ISPs in London - all are showing normal latency.
