Yeah definitely, I could see it being a lot of hassle to implement.   Another source that shows the UK number plates on local vehicles.

The suggestion isn't looking solely at police vehicles its looking at all vehicles in the city, the images above are good examples and they happen to be of police vehicles.  My thought process was its a UK based RP server with American style number plates, I think it would add more realism...
