Unban Appeal - cYs - GTA RP

Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because I Came back to the scene in which my character had previously died (and respawned) therefore I should not have known where to go or who to speak to, as that character died and lost the memory of that.
Why should we unban you: I have submitted 2 unban appeals recently to which they both got denied for different reasons, the first one was denied as i was focusing too much on myself and not my character, the second one got denied for lack of effort, I can assure you I thought that my second appeal would have been cross-referenced with my first, therefore i wrote less.

To put it simply there was no excuse for my actions on the day that i was banned, My character was going through a tough time and I acted out, he had been put into a situation that felt unfair at the time and i let my ego get the best of me, decided to go back and break the NLR, at this point i was not thinking straight, and I deeply regret doing this, Roleplay.co.uk is the best server i have ever played and since being banned i have reread the rules and decided that i should try to appeal this ban, Cy Davinci has many stories left to be told and i believe he can add real value to the server, I can assure you that if given the chance i would prove just how much i regret the decision. This incident that happened that day was so stupid of my character to do, and i can assure you that this would never happen again, I have spent some time developing my RP and i never want to make the same mistake again.

I now realize that i need to do my character justice, and cheating and breaking the rules does not help anyone, it left me with a sour taste in my mouth as i loved the server and made some really good friends from it, I have taken the time and learned from this incident to ensure that if i was given a second chance I would make sure that i did not squander it.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to reply, My Character still has some friends that play the server and I would love to be able to reconnect with them and continue to explore the server, to see what has been going on since my ban I have also been thinking of applying for different roles (i.e EMS and Police) to further expand my RP. Since my ban i have learned that i need to not focus on "winning" in any situation, and focus on helping provide a better RP experience for everyone around me, that includes any situation where i may be injured.

I feel my character was quite well known at one point during my time on the server, and the storylines i was developing have stopped, I want to focus on building new storylines with people and providing real value to the server with my RP.

The rules i broke were not acceptable, and there is no excuse, i was focused on trying to "win" but i now realize that there is no winning, only RP and I want to provide a good experience for my friends and others.

Run me through what storyline ideas you have for your characters.

Whats changed to make you not want to chase the win?

So for Cy Davinci the storyline i have in mind is him getting back on his feet, getting his driving license back and maybe trying to reconnect with his former friends, he burned a few bridges so trying to get back those relationships would prove challenging and entertaining, I also believe at some point i was under investigation by the police, so trying to navigate whether i am still wanted would make for some great RP opportunities. Cy is still young, he has a lot of life to live, Instead of doing drugs and being reckless he will try and move onto better things, try and turn his life around and become a taxi driver as i feel he needs to step away from the gang activity, seeing him try and navigate the transition from being a gang member to trying to become more law abiding would provide great entertainment, there are many encounters he could have that try to drag him back into the life of crime, seeing him trying to keep on the straight and narrow would be great.

I also plan to create a character to apply for the EMS or Group6, as i found it being one of the more interesting roles to play, and i think you would get some good roleplay scenarios out of becoming one, this character will be a law abiding citizen as i want to see what the city is like more from a civilian point of view as my other characters have been affiliated in some way to gang activity.

In terms of what has changed in regards to me chasing the win, i realized that in any scenario it is not about winning, it is about making the RP enjoyable and immersive for everyone, and through Roleplaying on other servers i have learned that chasing the win benefits no one, and i have shifted my focus from "winning" to trying to keep the RP immersive as it is not all about "winning", like life in general you cannot win in every scenario and I should treat roleplay as such. I also had other people who had the same mentality of "winning" on other servers and it just ruined the experience, with the shoe being on the other foot, that was when i fully realized that this was not the way forward and that i had to change before appealing this ban.

I'm going to offer you an unban, However there are stipulations.

  • If banned within 6 months of the unban, you will be placed back on a permanent ban as per FBS
  • If banned for combat logging, the ban will become unappealable
  • If you present to staff with a poor attitude, you waive your right to a warning and will be entered straight on to the fair ban system
  • Cy Davinci's inventory will be wiped to simulate his death
