Ban Reason: G1.2 C1.10 C1.6
Why do you think you were banned: Hello, I'd like to begin this appeal by highlighting that, due to the length of time that has passed since the events leading up to my ban, I will be going off the best recollection and memory I have in order to provide you with an accurate timeline of events, as well as the thought process behind my actions. I'd also like to mention that there will be similarities found from my previous appeal throughout this post as my understanding of the reasons behind my ban have not changed, equally for the reasons I should be given another chance.
With that being said, the reason for my initial ban was G1.2. This was a result of me failing to rightfully escalate a hostile situation with the police force in a way that is enjoyable for all parties. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, I jumped to shooting without a sufficient amount of roleplay being provided beforehand. This prevented the possibility for interesting roleplay avenues to be pursued in this scenario, cutting the interaction short. The other party in this roleplay scene, Adam Busy, reported me, thus leading to my initial ban. My actions throughout the course of this scenario were not acceptable and did not supply an ample amount of enjoyable roleplay to those involved.
The second reason for my ban is C1.10. I believe this was added onto my ban notes following the initial ban following an altercation that took place between myself & other Hustlers in front of another OCG - Grove Street Families. Throughout the duration of this scene, I was wearing my old Grove Street "Shaggy" outfit, and incapacitated other Hustlers with an MP5 following a dispute that took place between other hustlers and I. Essentially, I again resorted to shooting to resolve a situation in my favour. Personally, I saw this as a harmless joke and a bit of fun between friends, however I can definitely see how this is not what you, as staff, want to take place within the server.
Finally, my C1.6 Community Ban was issued after I followed through with disrespectful actions which violated the privacy of another member within the community.
Why should we unban you: In this section of the appeal, I'm going to explain my side, things that have changed, and why I would like a second chance in the community.
Throughout my final few months being part of the community, I had lost the motivation and passion I once had for the game and server. I think it was my time to move on and take time away from the game to pursue other interests I had in my life at the time. In my last appeal, I said, "a high number of my friends in and out of Hustlers had left the community, and for me, this was a definitive demotivating factor. However, as well as this, I had moved on. I held this community close to me for the best part of two or three years, and I suppose I followed new roles and responsibilities I had took on which trumped roleplay," and this is still a statement I stand by. Various factors changed, as did my priorities and primary interests. Of course, I still enjoyed playing and connecting with other members of the community, it just wasn't the same as it had been.
Looking over the situations that led to my ban, I can understand where I went wrong. Preventing this in the future should be a priority for me, and it will be - by providing quality pieces of roleplay and not getting distracted in the heat of the moment, as well as respecting that this is a serious roleplay server and not 'trolling' or messing around and shooting friends.
After the G1.2 ban had been placed against me, I came to the decision to take a break from playing, and pursue my other interests, before taking the time to make an attempt to return. However, I feel being apart of the community in general had me reeled in still. Watching clips, talking to others within the community, etc. It isn't what I needed, and, for some reason, I felt the best way to get this long needed break was to get community banned, which is something I regret. Unfortunately, as a result, I decided to target another member of the community and I sent a two letter message in the groups Discord which swiftly led to a C1.6. I would like to reiterate that I am remorseful of my actions, and I am not the type of person to target individuals for no particular reason. I haven't had the chance to apologise to the individual this comment was targeted at, and, if I'm being honest, it is not something I attempted to do closer to the time - and, I wouldn't know where to find him now.
How have I changed? I've had almost two years away from the community, and one year since my previous appeal. I've had plenty of time away from my computer as a whole, and some experiences which has helped me develop as a person include connecting with other cultures, meeting new people, and taking the time to improve myself. Regardless of how I lost my passion for the community, I valued my position on the server and enjoyed the countless hours I spent here on RPUK. My actions didn't necessarily show the value I held in the past, because I frequently failed to think through my actions before carrying them out. That is something that has changed, and that I hope to show to you if I am given the chance to return.
