Unban Appeal - Jay Small - GTA RP

Jay Small

Well-known member

Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Jay Small
Steam ID: 76561199011756624
Ban ID (just the numbers): 21290
Ban Reason: G2.3 You must remain in character at all times, unless a uniformed Admin authorises you to speak out of character.
Why do you think you were banned: I believe I was banned for not acting my injuries and talking normally when I got picked up by a fellow gang member.
Why should we unban you: Firstly I would like to start by thanking staff for taking the time out of their day in order to read and consider my appeal.

I believe I should be unbanned because I don't feel giving me a permanent ban was a fair one. On my previous unban (24/04/25) the terms where that I had a two month cooldown where any mistake I made regardless of the reason I would be put back on a permanent, which I understood and accepted. Therefore I feel this ban should have been under the fbs.

I am not disputing that I didn't break a rule even if it was just a simple lack of concentration in the moment, I am only human after all. I feel I gave the opposing gang prior to this situation really good roleplay and acted my injuries accordingly and for the whole duration. Once I was out of that situation and with one of my own, my concentration slipped and I did forget to remain in character at all times and I did talk without acting injuries. I believe that this rule is broken more than any and is easily done and if I am to be made an example of then so be it I will put my hands up but as I said I don't believe it should have been a perm.

Ever since my unban in April I have been extra careful and made so much more effort in all roleplay scenarios that I have been in and hope that this small lack of concentration and slip up in a single moment doesn't result in me being permanently banned as I have so much more to give.

I just hope you understand I have been taking the server and the rules very serious especially since my unban and hope that you can give me the opportunity to show that.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my appeal and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Good afternoon @Jay Small
I hope you are well?

It's interesting your belief here in that you feel a Perm was not a fair punishment for the amount of warnings you've been given for this exact consequence.
You've been allowed with the mercy of the staff team, to be let go with warnings and education multiple times. So I would deem it's fair - it's just caught up to you.

Whilst I do believe people can improve and align themselves with the rules especially over time as maturity is a factor - You lapse into Poor Quality RP, and a tendency to resort to OOC.
Whilst we are only human, and mistakes can be made - Where is the turning point for you, to stop making these errors?

Do you think you can recognize a pattern where this starts to happen?

Good afternoon Violet

I am well thank you and I hope you are too 😄

I agree I have had a few more warnings than should have been necessary I have always tried to be cautious and yes I apologies for making mistakes, some of my mistakes may not been the biggest or the worst but they are still rules and yes they become worse when they mount up I also can agree on that.

I obviously had a perm because it was a 6 month cooldown due to fbs even though on my unban it said 2 months if I do anything that’s what left me confused but still it’s not a excuse.

My actions have brought me back here and I didn’t intend to break the rules by breaking character on multiple occasions due to not acting my injuries.

But one time I spoke out of character was also because someone said something that shouldn’t have been said it was dealt by staff on that occasion and not my place to talk OOC even though the staff member did thank me for my efforts I still should not have spoken OOC so for that again I will apologise

Since coming back and only a few weeks off my 6 month cooldown before catching a ban for not acting my injuries and multiple warnings I have thoroughly enjoyed my time back in this community and things have changed a lot in a great way thanks to the devs and staff team so I would love to be able to come back to this community.

But that is up to you and the staff team so again thank you for taking time out of your day reading and replying to me.

Good afternoon,
A little under the weather - cold and flu season!

So, such a simple and easily avoidable rule - which you have been warned for prior - yet you still managed to break it. At this point, there is no excuse.
Doesn't fill me with much confidence.

I will ask again, do you recognize a pattern here? I certainly do, with how you are breaking this rule.
Care to explain your thought process on this?

And once more, Where is the turning point for you, to stop making these errors?

Good afternoon Violet

Yeah I’ve had it aswell seems everyone is getting this flu

The pattern does seem to come with some frustrations not only with others but from my end aswell either it being with other gangs within rp the amount of people that break character I.e injuries or talking ooc is crazy and I’m not here to point fingers ultimately o need to not let other people action control mine.

So the answer to your question is my own frustrations with other gangs within RP and being comfortable with people and letting my own standards drop

If given a chance to return I will try my hardest to make a conscious effort within RP situations I do believe when I put effort in I give great RP

Thanks again for your time
