I have been busy with a loss in the family, getting a chassis swap done on my car, and god know just life surviving .... Luckily though the wife has quit one of her evening jobs so should have some more time and less stress soon. We shall see .....

A chassis swap? That's quite an under-taking. Is it a classic/cherished motor you're trying to save?

Managed to move a 3 bed house in that car  
When we found out we were having a third child, I had the choice of getting a 7 seater (we had to have the big baby booster seats) or cutting the car in half and making it wider. It turns out I'm a stubborn bastard

That's impressive! I can fit sweet fuck-all into my stupid race car. 

Could you not see yourself sitting in a nice 7-seater Fiat multi-pla or Vauxhall Zafira with kids screaming in the back?

Got a 2014 Mercedes B-class atm. (although when we had X2 large booster seats & x1 baby seat this would of not been possible)

Funniest bit was we got the car back from the dealer, took the car seats out of the 2cv and they didn't fit !!! there is more space in my 2cv LOL. was a kinda FUCK moment, off to Halfords to buy a cheap booster and chop bits off it ......
I do love my car, Ive had around 15 kids in / on the car hoonign about a camp site (loads of fun) picked up my cousins motorcycle in it as well, moved beds (on it) camping is always interesting. and actually get people coming up to me to congratulate me on my packing skills and query if i licensed tardis technology.

oh Kids do not scream in my car, they may converse quietly and that is all. This includes their school friends if they dare ask for a lift !!

haha I cant believe quite how versatile the 2cv is!!!

I JUST about fitted a kingsize mattress rolled up from dash to back seat my the scooby. a 42" tv also just fits, along the back seats. Fits a tonne of shopping into the boot, or a lot of small boxes, but anything  over 1.5ft tall, it aint going in.

Do you let the kids eat in the car?

Yeah... TBH the 2cv is a workhorse and family car, although I dont like it when they make a mess :/ but it got to a point where I gave up. I dont let them eat in the merc though, or the wife for that matter  

can you get your backseats down ?

Nah my backseats are fixed except for a tiny hatch in the middle
