@Drew the only money from Taxpayers is for the police, which, would turn up to any event should protection be needed... Besides, the queen pays income tax, as does most of the family. Not a waste of taxpayers money, no more than benefits.

The Royal Family brings in 400 million a year in private revenue that the government keeps £360 million of anyway. The wedding is paid for by the Royal heritage not the tax payer and that includes her dress! The tax payer will pay for the public security surrounding the event not private security of the royals. The same way the tax payer pays for public security at football matches.
