Gold command clearly take inspiration from brexit

I don’t understand why GC don’t just do something like Poseidon have, even if only temporarily, until they decide what they will actually do. Instead of thinking up completely different alternatives just let the police play rebel whenever up until SGT and off peak hours for everyone else

Inspector and below not part of any primary unit should be allowed to play rebel. that's my two pence.

@Rice Krispy I agree, I would be more than happy with playing off-hours if you are in AR or NCA. Currently there are barely any cops online anyway after the 12 restart so it would not affect the faction that much. I'm just wondering who has the final say in this, as from what I heard GC say its up to management or w/e.

The current goss is that GC submitted completely different alternatives to management and are waiting for them to be reviewed and put to a vote. These alternatives would not allow police to play as rebel as they seem dead certain that if police played as rebels then the faction would die. Baffles me tbh because if anything, Poseidon have become a ton more active and have a lot more members since the change. Realistically, GC can just let you play rebels right now, like Pos Capos have. But they won’t 

There is a solution being worked on right now, the wait was indeed for Wilco who had to look over a couple things, however he is of course also busy with other stuff and as such it took some time. This has been done and GC are now working on getting the solution ready ASAP.

Yes, but not a solution any of us want. Have you actually seen the alternatives they’ve suggested to Wilco?

Please dont tell me its those rumors that you're actually going to have to step down to a certain rank if you want to play rebel.

It makes sense. Poseidon have similar rules I believe. Think its only solider and below.

It will be announced when it’s announced until then it’s all rumours, seeing 11 people now and again played rebel over SGT it dropped down the list of things to do as it required compromise and dev work also 2 months of your free time Is no doubt a ocean compared to mine so apply some patience 

@Scorpex not sure where you got dropping rank from but either you or your source is speaking bollocks, Yes there might be a completely different role introduced that 11 people above SGT will neee to make a decision on current role or new role which allows rebel play to combat abuse of position, as for the 136 who voted for this change they will get there wish

I suggest waiting until the announcement until then rest assured the vote will be honoured without changing the servers balance

@Wilco to me changing the server's balance seems like a good thing right now considering the power factions have over rebels

@Wilco Its something that people in the police have been saying, from what I heard its some sort of ''special constable'' which allowed you to play rebel, but at the same time not be any primary unit and you would not be able to go above the rank of PC, thats what I heard so far. Thanks for your reply anyways, everytime police asked about it we just heard that it was up to management.

Yeah, I've got to agree with Aethon. The main reason a lot of people wanted this was to actually change the servers balance. Right now factions completely overwhelm rebels and with this change it was hoped that there'd be more rebels forming up and creating a new balance. It has helped with Poseidon letting their members play rebel but the vast majority are in the police and if you have to then lose all progress earned over months within the police just to be able to enjoy rebel as well then our vote meant nothing because hardly anyone will want that.
