@YoCo bare in mind the entire duration after his subsequent arrest he failed to say a word other than "oh my god" arguably poor from his end and taking into consideration that the idea of the narrative of FiveM is to develop character stories and arcs, if they commit a multitude of violent crimes, they will pay the time.

However, I do feel as if there needs to be stuff to do in the prison to maintain peoples attention and somewhat satisfaction.

Also you note 2 hours in jail for having a gun would make you log out and never come back, well it would take a while for a new player to acquire a firearm, thus making them not new by the stage they were charged.

2 hours is ridiculous! Can't wait to come back and sit in jail for two hours that stream is going to be so fun!

20 minutes should always be the max!

Its not hard to break out of prison just jump the fence lmao and ur away free soon as you go more then a mile away ur sentence ends and you get ur clothes back

I agree long prison sentences should exists, once the server has a stable jail system with worthwhile ways to pass the time and still create an enjoyable user experience throughout the sentence. However by the sounds of it with an under developed prison system, these 2 hour long sentences shouldn’t be being handed out. Use some common sense, and don’t be an arse. GC should look at this, and put a cap (30 mins imo judging by what has been said here)until prison becomes an enjoyable experience.

Yes it is an RP server, however scenarios should try and have an outcome which although might not be what someone wants to happen, should still be enjoyable to an extent. 2hrs in prison for a gun, is not enjoyable, especially with very little to do on prison. Don’t be a cunt, be reasonable and a realist 

Some people forget this is a game and is meant to be fun for every one.

@Ponty simply a hypothetical to highlight the effect it could have on the player base. 
 

even if I was a long term player; 2 hours in jail would make me log off and not play for a while due to sheer frustration. 
 

I understand the need for realism and harsh sentences; but I would suggest you yourself experience being in jail for 2 hours with no one to interact with and see if you would still think it’s acceptable.

Aye if you get a 2hr prison sentence You are gonna be logging in just as you head out for the evening and by the next day at least you’ll be out 

This sounds like a conversation we had about Altis prison terms 5-6 years ago.

@YoCo you can always log off or go play on another character doing something different. I find it hard to believe people comment on the matter who don't even play

im saying the fact that some people don’t even have two hours to play a night, and you expect them to stay in prison for that amount of time

@YoCo Prison sentences decrease when you're offline...

@YoCo if you commit a serious crime during your 2 hours you have to play in the evening then in my eyes yes, you can go explore other role-play opportunities on different characters, explore the jail, be broken out etc.

@Temper_ @Dan B so your argument is that they should create a narrative, but then you're also suggesting that they should log out when in prison because the times decrease when offline.

@Temper_ is that a new thing? all the times i've been in ( quiet a few ask @Coozer ) when ever i log out im always back in even after a day or two has passed?

Silly thing to say, You will find a lot of game devs in the world don't even play any games!

The decisions that are made are done so on how our vision of the server should be, If that's not something you like then suggest change via feedback in the correct areas.

status updates are not the correct area btw! 

Maybe people won't walk around thinking they are untouchable and actually think about the consequences for a change if they don't want a long sentence. (General opinion on the sentence not an attack on anyone)

Yes, I agree its a silly thing to say, merely mimicking Dan b's comment that because i dont actively play fiveM i'm not entitled to an opinion.

I agree with robbie regarding the untouchables thing, but there needs to be a balance struck between enjoyablity and responsibility for in game action (which is the same on any RP server) not just fivem. I think if you've got people that are this frustrated by the times then clearly its something to be looked at!
