The exact choices are not decided yet, it will likely be on a case by case basis for anything that doesn't match the requirements exactly. That may allow thermal suits for example.

Why not simply add a clause in the guidelines, something like "if the uniform submitted does offer some sort of advantage it will be reviewed by staff and additional conditions may be applied, such as higher cost etc."

Regarding the "months" for a request, you were DMing individual devs asking about what would be allowed, but due to misunderstandings it wasn't seen as an actual request, you know this already.
We then defined the request process so you can actually get one, where staff leads decide if your group meets the required RP standards etc under this process before it gets passed to dev, you know this already.
You don't appear to have gotten approval from staff leads yet as we haven't heard of any approved requests yet, we have no access to your DMs etc with staff leads so cannot know the status or standing of the request.
So I'm not sure what your comment here on a thread about widening potential choices is about? I can revert the changes if you'd like? So it's no longer possible for uniforms like the stealth uniform to be considered?

But first and foremost what’s the point if no one can even get a uniform implemented due to the disconnect between staff/devs and actual players.
