What kinda car and what happened?

Ford Focus. Was driving to work and was on a country lane. Just before a corner the engine cut (rip powersteering aswell). Couldn't get it running again whilst coasting along. Had to pull over in front of someone's drive so I was mostly out of the road.
Typically a couple of minutes after they need to leave their house.. they was kind enough to help me push it onto their drive so I could call the recovery service.
No signal there so had to walk down a bit until I could phone them. Had to wait in that one spot, away from the car for just over an hour so I had signal incase they had to phone me back.
The guy rocks up and wiggles a cable that goes into the engine and then puts a cable tie on it. Problem solved!

'Wiggles a cable' this sounds very much like IT work.
I wonder what cable... Turbo diesel focus?
I used to have a Mk4 fiesta that when you revved over 4k rpm it'd spray fuel out of the fuel rail all over the top of the engine. I'd never get a ford again!!

It does sound like IT work
Not sure what the cable does however I'm guessing it's an important one as the car wouldn't start without it.
Its a petrol focus with a 07 plate.

who knows! I hope you saw the cable so if it happens again you can just plug it back in!
