Framerate comes into it, if you are lagging or have low FPS you won't go as fast as someone running smooth high FPS.

I feel that a lot of the cooking actions take too long to do. For me personally I find it very tedious the wait times for processing 25 or 50 of an item from dirty to clean or sliced etc. I don't think these actions generate that much revenue so I don't see the harm in reducing them.
