Not necessarily. You log in with your Google Account and, I assume, it will sync that data. We'll see though! No sign of a virus on my phone after a scan. With so many news outlets linking into the source I linked above, I'd be very surprised if it did have a virus.- Kaostic

Pokemon GO available now
Pokemon GO was released in Australia and New Zealand last night, so you can download the APK (Android only, sorry) already and install it. Once the game comes out, just redownload it via Google Play and your data should be synced (as you login with a Google Account)...- Kaostic
