The player increase definitely affected the performance significantly, around february last year (100 player cap) I could play fairly well but nowadays I keep getting sinkholes so frequently the game is barely playable. So +1.

Adding the search option already caused a bunch of minimal RP robberies, searching would make this even worse.

This does seem like a pretty good idea to revitalise the rp of gangs, however there is a good reason why the Lost and Firm receive exclusive whitelists: they are mostly run by staff and devs which means they can trust themselves to adjust the server balance. So maybe giving gangs completely...

I think an appropriate way to spot out the fake ID would be to have a mismatched / invalid citizen ID, would mean it isn't immediately visible but wouldn't hold up to investigation.
