I have the 970 (EVGA super clocked version) and it has no issues what so ever with any game I've played so far. It runs silent and I get 60 frames easy on arma 3 and 90-98 on Battlefield. You will get 60 frames wasy with this set up.

@unconnected It's not so much about the fact it cannot run things at the higher resolutions, 1080p is more than fine for me. It's more about the fact they initially said the 970 WOULD be able to do it, then it turns it it can't. Think of it as asking for a bacon sandwich and getting a sausage...

Because sadly like me and i'm sure many others, you trusted the manufacturer's specifications? 

For those of you that are aware of the recent issues regarding the GTX970 and screwing itself over after using more than 3.5GB of VRAM, well here's an update. Not sure how to take it as it seems NVIDIA are going to issue another statement. I sure as hell hope there's some sort of compensation...

I heard this too...i part of me wants them to recall them all so i can pay the difference and get a 980 instead as there haven't been any reports of issues with the 980.

@blaYde i noticed you play a fair bit of Fifa, is that on a console or on PC. If it's PC i'd love to join you for a game sometime. 

Done! Seems to be lots of articles about games i also enjoy, fingers crossed for the Evolve key.
