Dealership Vehicle Logging System (for recording podium In/Out movements)

At Power St. PDM, we have an ongoing issue with vehicles disappearing from dealership podiums and ending up in insurance. When this happens, we usually hold the responsible employee accountable. While bodycam footage often helps us recover compensation, there are increasing instances where no one owns up to the mistake.

To address this, I propose that all dealerships implement a logging system that records when vehicles are pulled out from podiums or returned to the inventory. This would allow management to accurately track activity and identify who was responsible in the event of any issues.

Introducing this system would streamline dealership operations, reduce disputes, and enhance roleplay by providing clear accountability and traceability for vehicle movements.

I've been told there was a fix for this issue a year ago, so I don't see why we would have to waste precious dev time to work around that issue. Also, we make enough money to compensate these costs ourselves 😉

Unfortunately it's still happening to us at least on a weekly basis (at a point where I feel bad for submitting comp requests). I was told in the past that the issue is not on the server-side; therefore I doubt there will be a full fix for this. I think this suggestion will be a good workaround.

There shouldn't be too much dev work to make this happen, as I was told that a similar system already exists in police.

100% yes, will make running a shop more manageable,
there would be a lot less compo requests as if its players fault, can be dealt with within RP.

if its a desync type issue then surely its not the workers fault? seems a tad harsh blameing or chargeing the worker for something out of their hands surely ?

@Samuel Shire If it's a desync, the employee that experienced that are still responsible for getting a bodycam footage - so I can fill in a compensation request.
If they don't have a footage, they normally just pay out of pocket without having to be asked.

The use case of this suggestion is for when car(s) end up in the insurance and no one is owning up to a mistake (assuming they've left it out or don't have bodycam footage).
