Full time admin

This Monday I decided to leave my highly fast paced full time job of 7 years due to health reasons.

I am now taking a few months out before moving onto a new path in my working career, In the meantime I have made myself a full time admin on AltisLife.co.uk

But who knows if the donations keep to the level they are this will remain my career, This is something that is not new, I can name a big handful of community's that have full time admins.

Ed Williams (TinyBigJacko) has been carrying the torch the past few months since Asdrubel who worked from home left the community.

I know Ed enjoys it sometimes but the majority of times this takes him away from doing what he has massive skill in which is coding and making our server top class, Ed remains 2nd in charge here and his decisions are final and does not and never has needed my authority

We have always joked this is a full time job... its become more apparent with the success of the server ranking we are enjoying more recently.

I would like to advise everyone to contact me first in future and if I am not replying then contact another admin.

Any suggestions should remain on the forum and if Ed decides he wants to discuss further he will make contact with you.

I would like to welcome Cardoso to the admin team who was one of the first players on this server.

As this community grows you may want to think about adding some moderators for the server.

Give them some authority to issue temporary bans & such but they remain subordinate to Killer & Rich as sometimes there is a lot going on on-line & I can imagine it can be quite stressful for just 2 or 3 server admins.

Hi, as a fellow also in ill health that faced the same situation regarding having to leave work I can say I feel your pain!

I won't say 'it gets better' as that's something I found incredibly patronising from others but what ever your affliction you seem to have a good head for ploughing through and keeping busy... And what better way of doing so then by keeping all of us busy with game time!
