According to the various rap / hiphop artists I have listened to over the years the vast majority of crack production takes place at home or a trap house. Dealers will purchase coke and then ‘cook’ it into crack at home on a stove using a few household ingredients and a trusty Pyrex Jug!
My suggestion is to have a system like this in RPUK by being able to purchase a functional ‘Home Stove’ that you can place in your house. This stove can in be used to ‘cook’ various items (crack, ribs, salmon fillet etc).
The recipe for crack should remain the same but for home production maybe there should be an additional item to the economy a ‘Pyrex Jug’ just to give it an authentic touch!
In order to make it balanced and so that players aren’t able to abuse the ‘home stove system’ and also to not disrupt the current food production system I have a few suggestions:

- Has a cool down after a few uses. (You’ve done enough cooking for now, go and rest for a bit!)
- Home stoves are expensive! Maybe 100k?
- Has a chance to break after / during use. Maybe you need a handyman with a high crafting skill to come and fix it?
- Has durability and will need to eventually be replaced
- Only one can be placed in an owed property and only the owner can use it
- Failing the ‘numbers’ has a chance to explode and injure the user. Never cook crack alone! (could set the property on fire and send out an alert creating fun RP for Firefighters and NHS)
- Finally, using the Home stove uses up a lot of gas and electricity! By adding a new utility bill ‘gas / electric use’ every month. Players could access the ability to ‘Pay Gas / Electric Bill’ in the same way you would pay your council tax. (Suspicious amount of electric and gas being used every month?! Maybe this is something that could be investigated by some RP detectives!).
- Pyrex Jugs could be sold at Nobles warehouse or crafted and break after a few uses.
Pros
- lot of RP potential between low level dealers and gangs who sell large amounts of drugs
- Low level dealer / crim RP story arcs
- Long form RP for police investigations and reasons for house visits / raids
- RP for firefighters / NHS
- Creates a new handyman job
- More reasons for friends / associates / handymen to be in each others houses
- Invite some friends round for a wholesome home cooked meal!
