So with nearly 1,200 hours in the server and God only knows how many of the server doing applications for Police and training for new members I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’ve not had the best fun playing on the server. After being in the Police for 5 months reaching the rank of inspector I tired due to the large amount of work left to me as a member of the Academy, I thought of transferring but thought I’d better try something else and see what else there was. I decided to join the UNMC to which I spent 3 months being in reaching the rank of Private first class however I was thrown out for “not being good enough” which I still don’t to this day understand what that means after I was field promoted a week prior. Anyways I rejoined the Police as a PCSO tier 2 and every time I’ve gone on the lack of RP has been unbelievable. Prior being in the Police it was amazing but coming back it hasn’t been that great.
With the not so great circumstances recently in-game and some things that have happened IRL I am making the decision to leave the community at least for now as I just need time away from masses of people I am not entirely friends with.
Recently in life things have not been so good, in early November I fell of my motorbike at 40 miles per hour, though the injuries were not that bad and I quickly re-covered (took me 20 minutes to climb the stairs though for about a week) however my bike is in dire need of repair. For this reason I’ve been using public transport to get to work baring in mind my workplace is 20 miles away and my PC also suffered major system failure and I don’t know what has gone dead in it. These are two things that have made me do overtime and pulling 16 hour days (12 hour shifts and 4 hours travel) is leaving me physically and mentally exhausted where I just can’t tolerate any lack of respect out of game and the sheer ridiculousness that is the declining RP that has been experienced in-game on my few days off I get. I just can’t keep giving chances anymore. I’m too stressed, too overdone and I just can’t keep going on facing the same rubbish I’ve been getting in-game and out of game while being in the community that I’ve been getting recently.
I’m going to take sometime away from the community until IRL circumstances improve however I don’t think I want to return as the honestly don’t want to put up with the discrimination of being “low rank” in the police or the UNMC again and I didn’t enjoy the NHS. On top of this I don’t like rebel gameplay. And in regards to actual RP this has been in such heavy decline I don’t feel like I have the patience to keep giving chances to a community built around RP that doesn’t actually like RP it seems.
There are other things I want to do that I haven’t since I’ve been playing Arma 3 so much for RPUK yet it doesn’t seem to yield much except further stress I really don’t need right now. Therefore for now and potentially forever, I bid this community farewell and wish it the best of luck in the future. My mind is made up, as Academy knows once made up I rarely changed my mind, and until my situation IRL improves I likely won't be coming back.
I’ve met some amazing people in the last 8 months of being on the community. Here are some honorable mentions, if I miss you off sorry! I’ve met so many amazing people but these are the people who I can remember but I have other friends who deserve mention but I can’t recall everyone at this moment in time.
@Jordan Naylor you buddy are an amazing guy and have made me laugh and been there as a friend. Best of luck to you.
@Wazowski You mate are an amazing friend and have given me some of the best RP moments ever both in game and out.
@Thor You’ve helped me out time and time again buddy, your generosity and kindness went greatly appreciated.
@Steve Best SI ever and offers some of the best RP I’ve seen in the community. Please continue being awesome and I hope OR improve your internet, you deserve a treat.
