Panchito managed to capture the Major last night. We knew he was a busy man, event coming up and all, so we decided not to go full on with a ransom demand, but just to have a little fun.
For him to be released, he had to recite the poem ''Invictus'' by William Earnest Henley. I recorded it for all his citizens to behold, what a grand and wise Major he is.
When we were done, we took his stuff to a church 1.7km away and told him the compass directions. He had until night-time to make it, or we would go and hunt him. No idea if he did, we just left the scene. I never heard from him again but I fear the local wildlife must have got him.
Invictus by William Earnest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods may be,
For my unconquerable soul
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me; unafraid
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul
