In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
At the time I had no idea why I was banned. I've found out since that my ban is likely because of 'ian' in the in game name I used which I then found out was Wilco's name. I understand if I intended this name to take the piss then fair enough - but to just assume anyone with a joking arma name with ian in it is a direct dig at himself, thats a bit unfair.
I was not even warned or asked about the name, nor was I told and I had to get a friend to join support and ask for me.
Smithers, who asked why I was banned, was told it was a 6 month ban, so I'm writing a perm appeal.

Why do you want to return ?
I want to return as I believe I was for the most part a good part of the community. I've never had a ban and I believe only 1 warning point for landing near a Greenzone garage, in the space of 13 months. I've been up to Surgeon in the NHS and most of my time in the community was in the police, a faction heavily based around RP which I think shows I'm a decent member here. The name was in no way directed at anyone. I don't have a reason to take a dig at Wilco so why would I out of nowhere?
Why should we unban you ?
I think I should be unbanned as firstly I don't think the ban is very justified in the first place, especially the way it was done. It was without anyone even trying to get a context of the name, so unless everybody with the name Ian gets banned I don't understand why I was.
the name 'big ian lad' was in no way directed at anyone in the community and not intended to be offensive. You can probably see the various Eastenders characters I have joined the server under as a joke with some friends, this time I was editing my name and thought of Ian beale and this is what I typed - I'm pretty sure I've joined as Ian Beale before as well.
My conduct on the server has never been pulled up on and I genuinely meant no harm when I used this name, if someone even asked about it they'd know that. In fact as I said I didn't even know Wilco's name was Ian, which I've now found out.
I've contributed a decent amount into the server including being in NHS, Police and UNMC for a short time.
I'm also hoping a few of the staff who could back that up will see this and understand, and help you understand this name was harmless.
