In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
The reason I think I was banned was for suspected 'restrain glitching' which is clearly understandable as it is obvious that exploiting arma 3 bugs or server bugs are a clear breach of rule 2.4.
What I can remember from the situation was a gunfight at the ascension base (This happened just over 7 months ago) It was between Ascension (The gang I was in at the time) and the police.
It was mid-gunfight and a police officer (DI Fade) arrived in a hunter and he got out and was in the gunfight and shooting at ascension which and vice versa. So at the time I was running about
as a hobo and I was dressed like I was not apart of the gunfight and DI Fade initiated on all the un-armed civilians, requesting them all to leave the area or they will be 'tazed' which was completely
fair from anyone's point of view. So I did not comply with his orders, and then he was shot just as he was approaching me which at the time he restrained me, but when he did at the time I had no clue
I was restrained, it must of been a bug that he restrained me at the time he got killed, I had no indication to tell me that I was restrained and not one of my friends in game at the time recall seeing me or
seeing any notification of me being tazed, so this is not the officer's fault (Fade) and I wouldn't say it is anyone's fault as it was a bug at the time and clearly something went wrong because if I did know I was restrained at the time there is no way on earth that I would try and exploit any known bugs to free myself, that's not me and I wouldn't do that.
I completely understand the circumstance and I understand that problems like these happen, shortly after DI Fade at the time was killed I stole his hunter and proceeded to drive off because at the time
of course I had no idea that I got restrained and I would never of had any intention to exploit bugs as I mentioned earlier, but as I drove off with the hunter I saw I was banned for 'Restrain Glitching' and I was very shocked and just confused but I completely understand that mishaps happen and I respect that and I believe no one is in the wrong as I could imagine from both my side and the Admins' side it is hard to tell of something like this and dictate who's fault it was. So I believe the whole situation was a big misunderstanding to conclude.
What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?
It has been just over 7 months since I was banned and in that time I have been relaxing a hell of a lot and have taken a bit of a break from arma compared to how I used to play it, don't get me wrong I have clocked a few hours here and there after to being banned but not as many compared to when I used to be active and play on rpuk, I know it is fairly cliche to say I played arma more when I was part of this community as I guess a lot of people must say it but it is because it's certainly true.
I have also been practising alot on software development, learning new languages like Javascript, Php, python, objective c, C++, c#, and I have been getting really into the whole coding scene and enjoying
a lot. I have also been studying a hell of a lot for my current education which I do prioritise but have been putting a lot more effort into coding and computing.
I have also gone on a few trips, as in June I went to Menorca and shortly after that I went away to Ibiza staying there for a few weeks.
Inevitably I have been also sitting in a lot of days and playing games for a few hours but not compared to the hours that I used to put into games. So since being banned I have picked up new interests and hobbies etc. but not a whole lot has changed Am still young and enjoying myself.
Why do you want to return ?
I would like to return to this community because this community provides a truly unique experience that no other community out there delivers, for example I have met so many friends, gotten into so many different immersive and fun role-playing scenarios that draw me into the game and make me and my friends wanting to play more, in this community I always had a reason to hop on the server and have a laugh. This server is truly fun and in my opinion the best in regards to the player base, staff team, dev team and how it has improved throughout the years!
When I started on this community and the server I was completely new to arma 3 so I had no idea what was going on and after a few weeks or a month or so I got the hang of it after meeting a few people
and taking some advice from various people and I soon understood and read the rules and I loved it and I only ever came on to have a great time and to get into different scenarios with other players and that's what I loved to do, I never had and never will have the intentions to troll or to ruin experience for others.
I also have missed this community despite it's only been 6 months.
I realised I must of caused the admins some trouble and I must of been a pest but for the 7+ months I have been away I have actually took my previous bans into consideration and I have thought carefully about appealing and possibly returning as a new and re-formed player and I realise it doesn't sound believable but a perm ban is more than enough for me as a lesson for my previous bans.
Another reason is also to explore the island of it's new players that have arrived in the time I have been away as it would be fun and very much interesting to meet with them and roleplay with them to get to know new faces and to interact with them, because in the end all I ever want to do here is RP and try my best to give myself, and others of course the best in-game experience possible.
Another reason I would like to return is because of the player base as it is very large and whilst being very large the staff team do honestly do a great job of making sure everybody is playing by the rules and everybody is having the best experience possible and maintaining the player base. I would be very excited to return and come back into the world of roleplay and get back into the whole scene, I have also caught up on rules that have updates since I have played here and I do think I am more than ready, and I would be grateful to anyone that reads through this appeal.
Why should we unban you ?
I believe I should be unbanned as the original ban on 05/20/2017 was a big mis-understanding which I am completely fine with and I do understand things like this happen and I do understand the perm ban that was issued upon me and for any trouble or grief I have caused on the staff team and management Iam truly sorry and with sincere honesty here I do apoligise for and previous troubles my stupid past self has caused.
Also I have been away from this community and have had a big break (Just over 7 months) and the time I have been away is more than enough time for me to reflect upon myself for any stupid things I have done here and Iam more than happy to agree to any terms that any one would be happy to put upon me, for example, no weapon for x amount of time or join a certain faction for x amounts of time just so I can really prove that Iam hear for the soul purpose of roleplay and nothing else, that's all I want to do here in the end and to meet new people like I have always done.
And a new and re-formed player I would only be after a long 7 months, if there is anything else I have missed that I have done following from my perm ban I am more than happy to talk anything through that I have done wrong since my ban or anything else that you wish to talk about, Iam open to anything and I have been completely honest here, I would not lie because at the end of the day I love this community and have been a part of it for a long time and did put a lot of effort into my roleplay here, for example I joined the NHS earlier this year and also the police to increase my RP experience and extend it so that I could follow with more experience and memories on this community, I would love to return and join the Medics to roleplay with patients like I did once because that was one of my best roleplaying experiences.
