I don't think this suggestion will go down well but I'm going to suggest it anyway.

I think it'd be neat if crims could pickpocket money from people. I think this should be done via the third eye stood up and a progress wheel will appear, if successful a small animation will happen with your characters hand reaching for a pocket to signify to others around you've attempted this.

Upon the pickpocket being successful/failed: the aggrieved party will get a notification saying:

"Someone tried to pickpocket you but they failed!" and "You've been pickpocketed, go catch them!

I think this would wind up for some pretty interesting RP for crims and Police alike.

Whether it should be the whole amount that gets taken or a percentage or the whole amount upto a point and then it becomes a percentage remains to be discussed.

Pick pocketing is a form of stealing without them noticing though, if you have notifications and especially a mini game if you were referring to that, they are going to know or just walk off. Also with the animation it just blatantly gives it away again so will be failure most of the time, unless of course you're holding someone up

Personally I like the idea just not '' player to player '' pickpocketing - I think players being able to pickpocket locals would be more ideal. Players dressing up as locals to try and blend in ''robbing''.

Small reward of items if successful doing it - better items depending on location maybe? ( my personal opinion ). Also local's reaction in different areas, lets say vagos turf the locals would pull out a gun and start shooting the pick pocketer, and if you're in Rockford hills they would send a dispatch to police like they do when they don't want drugs.

Think it could be pretty valid during certain time windows in certain spots, a hotzone as such but only on locals? Could turn onto you and have them attack you but you could walk away with a little bonus? 🧐

100% This could work like or even combined with selling drugs.

For example you sell a local 4 cocaine and you then pickpocket them for a chance to get some back.

As a Crim main I’m not a fan of this if it’s player to player, it sounds essentially like “pocket wiping” ? But to do it to locals in different areas I think would be cool

Not a fan of it being player to player. As everyone suggested player vs local would be great, but like searching bins, it should be some cash, or an item or nothing. Just cash would be a bit boring.

Add a pickpocket leveling system that as you level up allows you to find out about pickpocket hot ones or allows you pickpocket more upper class people in rockford hills.

At max level, I'd be fine with some player to player pickpocket but it would have to be only take small items lock picks, cash or food. No animation, just a difficult skill check.
