Police Executions Question

Hi,

Of police get shot at are they allowed to use lethal force? I have read that executions are not allowed, but does that mean executions as a means of punishement or does it mean they are not allowed to kill anyone at all?

If you shoot at us, we are allowed to return lethal bullets. Execution is when you are for example in restrains and we pop you in the head.
