Racing - Racetopia / Team Midnight Suggestion for Replacement Prize Car

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am submitting a suggestion based on some feedback from the racing comminity/ team midnight/ racetopia.

This has come about because recently the Flash GT was added so that it can now be sold through Mosley's and Luxury, but it has for a long time been an exclusive car that team midnight owned as a unique prize/ reward / trophy. Having this able to be sold through the dealerships now removes the appeal as a unique reward and several memebers of the racing community have raised some concerns. It reduces the incentive to race a bit because its now widely available.

Secondly because its now widely availabe, lots of players have been asking to purchase the Flash GT but at the moment due to the unique reward for racing we have kind of held off selling them. I would like to sell them in general to the general population who would like to own this car in RP, but, that then further reduces the uniqueness of it as a prize car.

I am at the moment, as you may be aware, spear heading the racing scence with regular race seasons thougth racetopia, we have a league set up, regular seasons (we have just started season 2 of racing timetrials), spontanois fun racing events such as the crazy taxi race, golf buggy racing and running some tracks made by other players such as some meme races. We have a dedicated website for the racing scene that includes, rules, leaderboards, funny news posts to engage with the community and trying to make it fun for all. Prize money is covered out of my own pocker, this is not about making money, its about supporting the general player base, those who enjoy racing, setting the best lap times and making a name for themselves. It would be amzing to also add a unique prize or trohpy car to futher add participation and the thrill of trying to obtain a unique reward car and be the "best racer" of the season and have the bragging rights.

So, the request / suggestion, Would it be possble to introduce a new exclusive car, that can be used as a trophy vehicle to replace the Flash GT? this would be tied to race tournaments/ seasons and winners of those would either be given a set of keys to drive as if its theirs, a bit like a boxing belt, that gets passed around.

I have been given many suggestions of vehicles that could possibly be used, the main one that has been voted on is a vehicle called the " Annis Roxanne " I have been told its lore friendly. But happy to listen to any suggestions anyone else has.

Hopefully if this is approved, that would then allow the Flash GT to be sold to the general player base, and allow the racing scence to still have a unique prize car that can only be obtained through racing.
Hopefully then this will bring more fun to the general player base via a 2 pronnged attack - Flash GT available to anyone that wants it, and the racing scence has a exclusive new car availabe as a prize and should see hopefully more racers taking part.

I am happy to provide anything else needed.

I get the bigger picture and that cars were added recently, but I just want to highlight, what im trying to do with the racing scene is not about hoarding rare cars, its about building competition for players to engage and compete for. We have an league now, tracked seasons, and people genuinly, activley running the tracks each week, it give anoter side of the roleplay. gives some reason to turn up and care, or an extra reason I guess.
As I say its not for me, I am funding prizes out of my own pocket.
Not expecting anything, just hoping it would be taken on board.

There's plenty of exclusive cars, why not give the racing scene one too. TM have been doing a lot for the scene with Racetopia and it's good to see what Cypress are doing with the racing scene again. I'm personally not really active in it anymore but it's applaudable what they (but mostly Abe) have been doing for the server and the racing scene. Everyone's got cash and cars nowadays, why not reward them with an exclusive car.

For the sake of the server and the economy I think having SOME exclusive/rare/unobtainable cars is nessecary.

Do explain why you think there shouldn't be one added, we've had one for the longest time and all of a sudden it's available for re-sale. A reward that was only obtainable through racing is now available to everybody. If to add an exclusive car for anything it should certainly be the racing scene no? The group that you know, primarily uses cars? The car we had was no good for racing either, the handling was crap and was unusable for racing.

JDM and fits the racing aspect of the server, I can also provide the handling for the car so it can be used for racing (similar handling to 8F drafter for example).

i don't think any car should be exclusive, rare sure, exclusive no, but as i've also stated I do not race(police/CoC main) so i wouldn't lose any sleep if the racing people got a exclusive vehicle, though i'd think something like a custom livery for the car made more sense rather than being the only one owning a specific vehicle
