What best describes this incident: G1.5 - Powergaming
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I was on an Assessed Patrol with a Probationary Officer and Sergeant Carpenter when we were held up and kidnapped by, who I believe, to be TFA.

I was taken at gun point to the University area where I was held up gunpoint the forced to open a locked container. I was told that they were informed by Ex-CID that someone of my Rank and above can unlock the containers.

I wasn't taken back to the station to get keys or anything, just a snatch and grab of an Inspector and forced at gun point to open the container.

The container was then emptied in front of me and they made off with whatever was in the container, this totally undermines and invalidates the time and effort that the officer that got it locked put into getting the evidence required to lock the container, putting an end to whatever Roleplay was to be had from this.

Good Evening,

It was my container that is in question. Sorry our actions have lead to a report. Before making a full response, would we be able to have a verbal discussion in one of the Liaison channels with yourself and perhaps a staff member at you convenience?

Thanks

Hi @Billy Bubbles

Unfortunately I’m going to decline your offer of a liaison.

As a Police Senior yourself I’d expect better in terms of Roleplay. Kidnap, Unlock, Dumped randomly to walk back. Is not my idea of high quality roleplay especially when it was literally just that and given you’ve managed to save the contents of your locker.

Hello and thank you to the staff reviewing this complaint. Since my request for QE was not entertained I’ll reply on the situation

So I’ll go through my day from when I found out my container was locked to the point of it being opened.

On Sunday 19th October at around 2-3pm I headed to my container up at the university to deposit a few items I mindlessly tried to input my code 2 times before realising it was LOCKED.

After it sunk in my container was locked and I was unable to access all my valuables. I then began to try anything necessary to gain back access to my container.

First port of call was contact a solicitor so I headed immediately to MRPS where I called the only available one Lucas Valdez (Might of butchered his name).

Lucas and I set to meet at the Arcadius tower. At the meet he was in one way useless to me but in another very helpful. I explained to him my predicament and I was told there is nothing he can do until after it’s been raided. But also during this meeting he stated things like the police lock them and it’s the CID unit that deal with the raiding of them.

Taking this information my first plan was to kidnap any police officer to try and get it unlocked but that quickly changed after having a phone call with a EX CID member turned criminal giving me the rest of the information to act on getting my container unlocked that information being a police Inspector+ can lock and unlock them.

Now with all this information collected i made my group aware of everything and our plan was to disguise ourselves as none TFA and kidnap an inspector or above. We began our hunt just before 6pm storm with no result so planned to do it after which we did gaining more man power.

First order of business was to spot and pinpoint an inspector+ that’s when we spotted Hank summers at MRPS front desk. Now it was set he would be the one we grab not long after he was spotted driving around in the back of a marked XLS we tried to keep our presence unknown and had one of our cars speed past him to be pulled over which went to plan and the rest of us struck. Even with being caught off guard and the multiple guns pointed into their faces, Hank decided to press his panic button.

This panic turned from a smooth snatch and grab to chaos and time sensitive I extracted Hank immediately whilst the majority of TFA dealt with the other 2 police and the responding officers.

Now at my container we disarmed Hank and I told him the story of we know he can unlock it so he didn’t lie to us without complaint or forceable aggression Hank unlocked it and the container was emptied of all valuables.

Now with everything in the situation from the finding it locked to emptying it is laid out this wants a spur of the moment task but a throughout plan and during this at NO point we were made aware we had to retrieve “Keys” from the station in LOOC or ingame references.

And for the saying this shut down all future RP I 100% disagree I know for a fact I’m the only one with the code to it and I wasn’t exactly smart going to it everytime so CID/ other have room to investigate.

Now I have explained our whole side, the plan and where the information came from and thought process on the situation I’m going to leave it to staff unless they have anymore questions or want any clips ( I believe I have everything except the meeting with the solicitor)

Its a bit disappointing to see you go straight to the forums and not want a QE but were here now. I got 3 Simple Questions for you,

1.) You or anyone who locked the container did they do a /me to put the keys behind front desk, if so would like to see the of this evidence please, as this should not be being used against us if this wasn't done.

2.) At any point when we was all at the container did you say we need to go back to MRPD to grab the keys, or was your response something along the lines of, "I'm new to this role I didn't know I could do that" then proceed to unlock it.

3.) Did you know you have to grab the keys or was it till after you complained to the police OOC that they informed you that you need keys to unlock it. As a member of the community who held a staff position would you not know immediately that this was supposed "power-gaming" and that the apparent "roleplay standards" from a officer with power to lock containers apparently takes "keys" back to the police station and roleplay this with other officers and through /ME's
You could have called those involved in the situation to QE to let us know that we needed keys and that situation should not have happened, we could have returned the items back into the container and done it the correct way, instead you have decided to go straight to the forums without educating us where we both lacked that knowledge showing a very clear mentality of your desired outcome of the situation at hand

We were unaware that it was a requirement for the keys to be obtained from the Police Station, however, due to us being unaware of this, we went along with the RP at the time. I would like to think you could forgive us on this aspect, as I don't believe you yourself was aware and several people I've spoken to were also unaware it was a requirement. I don't believe you knew this either and based on this, a liaison would have been appropriate so we could all get a better understanding. I would also like to highlight you ignoring the 4 or more guns pointed at you when you decided to panic, this would be considered NVL and again you should have known better. You complain about us "shutting down rp" but isn't that essentially what you was attempting to do? You could have played this situation better yourself by having an understanding of where YOU put the keys and by not using your panic button while we all had you at gun point.

That's all I have to say on the matter and won't be responding unless asked to by a member of staff.

Interesting…

(G1.3) Baiting

Taking deliberate actions to create a scenario where you get chased or engaged with, especially to cause a firefight. Examples: Robbing a service station with the intent of a gunfight, deliberately committing crimes in front of the police, swearing at a group of gang members.

@Timmy chaps

1, This is a redundant statement, how many times do you see Police run up to the desk to retrieve keys when you’re leaving the police station for Bolingbrook after being arrested? Yet it’s still common knowledge that Police don’t carry keys to the prison unless going to, or from, the prison.

2, I’m not here to correct people on their Roleplay, you are responsible for your own.

3, I didn’t complain OOC, I put facts into an Intelligence channel which I was then informed of the requirements for keys to be retrieved.

You are correct in saying that I said ‘I’m new to the role, I’m not sure I can do this’ because I am new to the role. I wasn’t sure if I could do it.

I took opinions from people OOC on if I should put the report up and those opinions were a yes, so I have.

If you have no interest in responding fully nor entertaining a conversation in a liaison then we may as well leave it with staff. Your cherry picking words or lines and attempting to create a narrative to suite you agenda.

I will highlight how ironic it is, that you accuse of us low quality roleplay. The only thing that has been low quality or low effort is your report and follow up responses and overall, it comes across like you have a poor attitude.

For reference, Baiting would be if we was doing this just to have a shootout as it states in your quote. There was roleplay reasoning for us to interact with you so that debunks the baiting issue.

The fact that these are such effortless replies to the questions being asked and with your responses only being to half of the question asked, shows the attitude you are giving to the report you placed on us and the lack of effort to resolve this without it being a ban. You have also gone around the fact of you NVL. But its fine we will wait for a staff response.

@Billy Bubbles it states ‘especially a shootout’ it is not limited to a shootout…

If you look in the examples it states ‘deliberately committing crime in front of police’

I have no problems with leaving this now, it is what it is, as long as if we all learn something and improve then that is what reporting is for me, it’s not about punishment or anything just learning.

Appreciate your responses so far though.

You asked 3 questions Timmy, you got 3 responses.

I’m confused on what you want from me?

If you are worried this may turn to a ban then I think you need to look at your actions beyond this report. Not blaming this report.

My replies have also been minimal because I know it’s a ball ache for staff to read paragraph after paragraph and walls of text.

Thank you @Hank Summers for taking the time to write this report.

It's been a bit quiet for the last few days so I'll get this resolved!

Upon reviewing the evidence I'm going to be denying the report. The ground for this is you very much willingly opened the container without putting much of an argument up. Had you told them Police don't carry keys and they continued to pressure you to open it then and there with minimal roleplay the outcome would be different.

People outside the Police won't be aware of the policies the Police have to follow including the keys for the containers and it's on the Police to roleplay not having keys on them. This seems like a possible mistake on your behalf but that isn't their fault.

Denied
Please do not let this discourage you from making reports in the future!
