What best describes this incident: (G1.2) Random Death Match (RDM) - Attacking another player without engaging in any form of quality roleplay is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. “Put your hands up or I will shoot” and countdowns are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering violence.)
Please (in detail) describe the incident: James Turner and I are refuelling and speaking to NHS when I noticed Ballas stopped and was observing Obviously Ballas at this time are heavily aggressive towards police and I do understand that but I do not believe that enough RP was given for the shear level of aggression and ramming that occurred. For a full run of events from the BWV that I am providing We where coming back to city from sandy returning from a situation involving TFA we then stopped at mission row to repair and collect ourselves, After a couple minutes I remembered we needed fuel and took us to strawberry gas to refuel at which point I noticed NHS where there so went and said hi and chatted with them for a small time and then refueled it was then that I was suspicious of ballas as they circled and where stopped near by. After observing this I tried to drive off to avoid any conflict when I was chased and rammed, with the only thing being said was "Get out the Car". Once being rammed to the point of flipping multiple times, myself and James noticed the guns and complied with the demands at this point, I was stood with hands up outside my car when I was then shot and taken down. I was later recovered by a UC officer and got taken to pillbox. I believe this is RDM as although Police and Ballas are definitely at odds very often and the court order put out against them has got them more aggressive than normal but its not KOS so good rp is required before engaging and this goes for both Ballas and Police and there was not High quality RP provided to me. I do believe that my BWV speaks for its self but if not I will happily answer any questions.

Unfortunately, I did not get Session ID's but I got Ben clarkes license plate and I believe that it was around 60-70% of Ballas that are on tablet due to the numbers seen.

Hello,

The reason for me shooting you was simply a reaction to the first police on scene starting to ram/run Balla members over, looking back at it now it was quick to the trigger especially as you had your hands up at that time and also at the same time with the heat that we knew was on the way it makes sense for us to eliminate a threat because we all know that the second we took our eyes off you guns would've been drawn and you would have sprayed us down.

I think I have a clip of police turning up and started shooting hense the reason u were shot, if I have this clip and staff would like to see it so they have some real context behind you being shot, then I will provide this later on.

I would also like to point out that you had a pretty big crash and showed no signs of injuries you even called this out on radio and proceeded to panic again, I'm no expert but hitting a wall at 115mph side on I don't think you're to be in a fit state to be doing anything and most likely you're going to be unconscious, like I said I'm no expert. Can you give us some insight on why you didn't want to RP your injuries here and also is one of the staff team can give some clarity on what exactly this rule means and what determines when you should rp your injuries?

I would first like to thank you for the swift reply.

Now let me get into this

The reason for me shooting you was simply a reaction to the first police on scene starting to ram/run Balla members over, looking back at it now it was quick to the trigger especially as you had your hands up at that time and also at the same time with the heat that we knew was on the way it makes sense for us to eliminate a threat because we all know that the second we took our eyes off you guns would've been drawn and you would have sprayed us down.

You say that you were eliminating a threat even though we where complying, Now I understand that we could have shot if you took your eyes off us even though I personally wouldn't have I appreciate that some would. I do have a few questions first off there was around 10-15 seconds where a lot of yous where on foot and surrounding us why not put us in zip ties to eliminate the threat thus actually providing rp? My second question which I brought up in the initial message that you have ignored was the fact that we where rammed instantly before anything being said then told to get out of the car while already going faster than 30mph did you expect us to jump out the car traveling at 30mph, also why didn't you give an ultimatum or more than just 3 words?.

I think your explanation is lackluster, and it does not justify this RDM. There were a few different ways this could have gone, and we were provided literally 0 RP.

Lets get into this then,

First off the Tone and accusatory and deflective nature isn't really helpful but I will explain anyway,

In very tense situations like this and just with injuries themselves the body produces adrenaline which has made people in countless occasions pull off feats that by all accounts should be near impossible in there state. For me I have personally IRL had a few major injuries and know the extent of how adreniline can act as a pain supressent first hand and when you take into account the nature of this incident it is perfectly reasonable that anyone in fear for there life and under the influence of adrenaline and hysteric strength I believe that my frantic shouting over radio was more than reasonable. And I would also like to note that when I realised there was no hope we complied with the clear demands and guns pointed to us which i would like to note was only given to us after a high-speed collision initiated without any rp.

I would also like to note in correlation to this once 2-4 minutes passed and en route to the hospital, i then continued my rp of my injuries as the adrenaline started to wear off and once discharged from hospital sat in MRPD for around 40 minutes and never got involved in ANY situation due to being injured.

To sum this up i believe my reactions and actions were perfectly reasonable, considering the way the human body works IRL, not to mention the fact that this is a game. Although if staff believe i broke the rule for not RP'ing injuries, then i will accept the consequences.

I am still more than happy to answer any questions asked either by yourself or staff.

Right well I can clearly say that my explanation isn't lackluster, there was not 10-15 seconds where a lot of us was on foot and definitely not enough seconds to get you in zips as your backup arrived within 5 seconds of you getting out the vehicle, so how could we have provided any rp when the police that u requested just started ramming us and shooting straight off the bat.

as for your second question, I can not comment on this as I was at the very back in the beginning and end of the chase.

as you can probably see, there is bullets flying past my screen before I shot him and u can faintly hear the gun shots, I think me shooting him was definitely warranted to prevent myself or any of the ballas from getting shot by him as I highly doubt for a second he wouldn't have started shooting the minute we take eyes off of him.

As you've stated that you're not going to reply, I'm going to give my thoughts on your response for staff to see,

so how could we have provided any rp when the police that u requested just started ramming us and shooting straight off the bat.

I am so happy you see it this way as well and that ramming instantly and getting shot without being initiated on is extremely annoying and shouldn't be done by anyone.

Im not 100% sure that I understand the mentality here that you just assume that everyone on this RP server is just going to turn around and shoot you, I for one enjoy a good kidnapping if its done properly and RP is actually above "pull over pull over" rammed then shot with hands up, I genuinely think that this is blatent RDM.

I am now not going to ask any more questions as the party reported isn't showing interest in discussing the situation, I will leave for staff comment as well.

Hey @West1 thank you for taking the time to report this incident.

After reviewing the evidence which has been provided in this report and after discussing it with other members of staff, I don't believe it is random, but the conclusion is that this encounter lacked high-quality roleplay.

@mitchellac15 From what you've said it seems you didn't want to prolong the situation with the officer, that's you as a collective had brought to a stop and he was even complying once his vehicle crashed with his hands up there could have been more opportunities to extend the situation rather than in turning into a gunfight

This mentality is not something which we expect from anyone on a roleplay server. If you are just here to 'frag', then maybe another server or game is better suited for you. If the roles was reversed on yourself, you wouldn't be satisfied if you just got shot by police when you've complied with demands but because more Ballas turned up police just shoot at you anyway and if that does happen then it should be reported.
