What best describes this incident: RDM/Poor quality Role play
Please (in detail) describe the incident: I was helping out a mate who was being chased by the police, so me and another friend pulled up to back him up.

I jumped out of my car with my gun out and shouted at the officer standing outside to put his hands up. That officer then quickly tried to jump back into his police car.

I had to threaten him to get out again, saying he had to jump out and put his hands up or I'd have to shoot. He then got back out.

Before I could properly say anything else or get into any more roleplay with them, the officer who was sitting in the driver's seat—Officer U. Wrangler—just opened fire. He shot me and my friends, and it killed us instantly.

He didn't even try to calm the situation down, or try to talk or give any warning. He just went straight to shooting us. I did not shoot a single bullet, yet he engaged in lethal force right away.

I genuinely believe this is a clear case of Random Deathmatch (RDM) and extremely poor quality roleplay from a police officer. This action has cost me badly: I ended up with 250 months jail time, a £90,000 fine, and I lost all the items I had on me.

I need this incident reviewed against the server rules, especially RDM and Value of Life.

Hello @Tony.cortez , let me start of by saying it was obvious what you and your companions were trying to do from the start.
Due to this, I told PC Avro before he stepped out of his car that I would cover him with my pistol (Meaning it was already drawn and in my hand) well before, As predicted, you quickly jumped on PC Avro as soon as he stepped out of our car.

It was simply a question of time before you would present yourself as a threat, we were prepared and dealt with you as we saw appropriate. We were far from clearly outnumbered or at an obvious disadvantage.

There was nothing random about this scenario, and i would argue that yourself and your friends are the players who provided ''poor quality roleplay''. As soon as you were up from the hospital beds, you decided to attack us (G4.5) and constantly made OOC references to rules and made it as difficult as possible to process you, acting like trolls throughout custody. Not exactly the ''serious roleplay'' you kept referencing during our conversation in QE.

I will review what i've got recorded and post some clips later today, meanwhile can I ask that you provide footage from the whole scenario on your end? as you've trimmed out the RP prior to shots being fired? Ill Link the report guidelines here for you https://wiki.roleplay.co.uk/Guide:Report_a_Player

You claim you "dealt with me as you saw appropriate," but that's just a cover for shooting me without a proper reason:

you acted on prediction. RDM is literally killing someone without enough roleplay surrounding it.
I was actively giving you commands. I did not fire a single bullet. You initiated the gunfight and killed me. That's why it's RDM you ended the entire scenario by pulling the trigger first.

as a police officer you must value life and you also shot 2 other people that didn't even have a gun didn't even attempt to arrest them because you didn't want to lose you wanted to sit in your car kill everyone and not give them a chance.

Afternoon @Tony.cortez.

There needn't be any reason to have this report go on for longer than needed, so let me resolve it here for you. I have reviewed the video, along with what @L1L has stated. You can see a gun in his hand the whole time, whilst he has the tablet and whilst you approach the car.

The officer got into the car upon you pulling the gun, yes, likely as a panic, expecting the driver to floor it. This is a valid reaction, a valid way to try to protect your own life. That didn't work, so the officer got out of the car and put his hands up, choosing to value his life. No issue there.

To protect his own life, and that of his colleague, @L1L choose to use his pistol. I'm not interested in proportionality of force, that's for you to resolve in RP if you wish. It's not RDM - he had a reason to shoot you for threatening his colleague with a firearm. It's not lack of value of life, in-fact, it's very much what I would expect an armed officer to do in that situation.

You chose to go 1v2 against 2 armed, trained police officers, and you lost the fight. The RP was minimal, indeed, because that's the circumstances you gave the police to deal with. A person does not have to engage in a lengthy conversation before firing a gun in every scenario.

You had all the cards, and you played them poorly. It happens, it's part of RP. You never know, your character may learn from this experience.

Report denied.
