In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned as a result of staff and development team members believing I was under age after doing extensive online research into me, and finding someone else's mine-craft forum profile that applied under the same username as me with a younger age.

Why should we unban you ?
I believe the ban was made in error. The minecraft forum account they found, was indeed not of age to play on this server yet it is not linked to me, I would like to point out that anyone can use any username on today's internet, and many users in your community clearly have usernames used by others as well, and unfortunately so is mine. Provided that I have not got a minecraft account, not brought the game and never realistically been fond of it I find it a shame that this forum profile was used against me.

In chronological order of events. Here is my summary:

When i joined the NHS initially I was given the all clear by my interviewer who at first believed I may of been underage because of my rather high pitched voice, which is what other people have obviously noticed, but after he did some research the interviewers deemed me to be above the age of 16.
Upon it being brought to my attention that a forum account on minecraft forums could make me look under age, I asked the administrators of the site to delete the account and just to make sure tried to log in using a variety of my emails (to no luck, thus proving my initial theory I didn’t have an account on there). I got an email response, and was asked to show this to the people who questioned me about my age (I will elaborate below).
I went on a patrol some days later and mid-patrol I was dragged in to a channel with the following people: TomTheDoge, DJHolyChrist and Norman, and whilst not straying away from the topic at hand I do thoroughly believe these are all around my age, which I felt was rather intimidating and as such I informed them I felt uncomfortable in the channel with them (specifically stating it is rather weird that there where so many people), especially bearing in mind only one of them was staff. I refused to speak much given that I felt extremely uncomfortable and was moved up to an office, whilst still ingame from the NHS Patrol I was on, I informed the people via Vehicle Chat I felt uncomfortable and nearly got very emotional. At this point I was dragged back into a channel with a guy called Singh and Ciaran now in the room, Ciaran sounded around the same age and was management which again made me feel uncomfortable but he was management so it didn’t feel as intimidating, yet very much confusing.
Still uncomfortable nonetheless I explained what was going on, whilst in my own opinion they didn’t listen to me, they continued to talk regarding me being ‘underage’ and about ‘pedophiles’ in which as I am rightfully 16 I full well know of the dangers of online gaming and felt patronised by a multitude of males sounding around the same age as me telling me what was right and wrong for me to do online. I felt really violated at this point and got angry admittedly.

So I apologize if I offended anyone. And the above is rather long, so let me summarise:
I applied for NHS
Got an interview with the interviewer being slightly sceptical
Got let in after he thought he confirmed my age
Go on patrol a few days later and get dragged in to channel of males around my age
I feel uncomfortable and express this but wasn't listened to
I get dragged out, and get dragged in later with a management member present who also sounds around 16 which is my age
I try to put my point of view across, yet was not listened to yet again
Then I get banned for 1.6 supposedly, later finding out it is a 1.9?

I am again sorry if this has offended anyone but the appeal rules state to be honest, and in honesty this is the way I feel.

I really like this community, and feel like I still want to play here and as a result I must provide a proof of my age. This gives an insight into how I am over 16, and jointly gives hopefully more validation of my birthday: 12th June 2001.

I may be able to get more ID upon request but for now this is what I am comfortable with. And with just a username it is scary to see what people have seen about my online life, and will obviously as a result be careful with who I give future potentially more revealing identification to.

I would like to conclude i saying I hope that I can play this server again and hope that I have proved my age to you all enough to come back, despite still feeling as though my online privacy was violated in terms of every aspect of my online life being viewed by people the same age as me, who also asked to see screenshots of emails to prove my innocence. At this point I would also like to take the time to say that regardless of the outcome of this unban appeal, I truly hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else, as finding out someone's real age (to the extent that online ‘stalking’ takes place) is not as important as making them feel safe and comfortable, as well as this I feel as though the fact I am a girl, made these people treat me differently than what they would of done to a male.

I would also like to state that earlier on I was informed of some uncomfortable comments made in regards to me, and the members advice was to take careful consideration into the publicity of my instagram account. What I would say to the people who banned me is that if you truly banned me as a result of my … not being big enough, or because I post in a way that represents me being ‘desperate for attention’ then I advise and ask you to not judge a person by their cover, or by online profiles that quite frankly shouldn’t of been looked at in the first place. I truly believe that because there were multiple males around the same age as me looking at my online activity, photos, and posting habits to then deem fit to ban be because it had the ‘same username’ and potential other links to me which where all speculation, is disgusting especially since the ban was more or less justified as a result of sensitive aspects of my body.

I feel uncomfortable talking about this, and am saddened I had to post in so much detail but whilst this situation was bad for me, I feel as though I have still enjoyed some aspects of my short time in this community and would like to come back if at all possible.

Firstly let me provide some insight into why I am dealing with this and at such a early stage, Some might look into this appeal as a very serious situation just by reading your version and while I believe if you are over the age of 16 you might have been hard done by, I do think you have exaggerated this just a little.

Let me go back to before your interview where Nalurah advised you that the NHS or Police often do "checks" to make sure the person isn't lying about there age, I also believe she advised you in front of the then CMO Jack about what the consequences would be about lying about age.

Now at some point yesterday someone raised concerns and that as escalated up to the staff team who instantly found just by typing your username "Lyds984" into google a minecraft profile where you say you are 13 which at some point (now removed) was linked to your steam account.

This isn't stalking, this is simple google searching which is what people will do online... especially if they have a concern someone has lied... at this point you might as well be accusing google bot for stalking, Now you come across as someone who is concerned by this so I would recommend you go and have a bit of a privacy checkup.

To go more into that it took one google search to find your online gaming profiles to Instagram profiles (something our staff team looked at) and it took less than 2 minutes to find your full name, location, Facebook and more information

Now do not think for a second you are being stalked... if you think that one google search is stalking then you need to go research it a little.

At the point they found your mine craft profile there concerns were pretty much answered, and for the communities protection and yours you could no longer be part of our white listed faction, however because they felt you lied about your age then rule 1.9 was enforced (incorrectly entered by Tom as 1.6)

As for Ciaran, Yes he is 16 he is our youngest management member by almost minus double the average age, but that does not make him less capable hes earned that position by his coding skills and screwed on head and hes been in that position for over 3 years and developed as a person by hanging around a bunch of old farts and from by the sounds of it offered you some solid advice (In a similar situation something I chickened out of and got my girlfriend to have a word to my 16 year old niece about only over Xmas), Hes not talking about your Instagram profile... You can post what you want on that who are we to pass judgement, the concern is that you can be linked back to a location and other information (PM me if you want to know more and how to hide it)

I can tell you from personal experience by being the registered key holder of this place that if you have anything online people will find it, unfortunately that is part and parcel of the online world and something to keep in mind.

Now getting angry and disconnecting gets you no where here, we like to deal as things as grown ups and if you felt intimidated by males then our community support @Nalurah would of happly spoken with you on request even if it might have been a day wait.

Now the minecraft profile is yours, it was even linked to your steam ID which has been pm'ed to you by another member of management this evening.

I am not one to request ID's that is too personal for me, What i want to know is why you have failed to respond to @Vladic Ka about the picture he has PM'ed you linking your steam profile to the minecraft profile where you say you was 13 ?

That really doesn't add up, I know a whitelisted position can be rewarding and fun on the server but its certainly not risking your position on this server over as in online gaming terms this is one of the most clean environments you will experience, We really do enforce our rules, Yes sometimes we get it wrong but in this case there is some concern.

Look forward to your response clearing this all up.

@Lyds After we spent some time on this yesterday I am a little disappointing you did not reply but then again i am not surprised now something more has come to light.

Ex CMO Jackdevo has today admitted to many members you are infact 15 years old and not 16, I am a little concerned as he knowingly allowed an underage person (in this case girl) to remain in the faction when we have serious rules regarding this, I ve been told he has proceeded to add you on multiple social platforms, and potentially attempted to get close to you  his abusing position of power.

For community protection we have of course now 1.6 banned JackDevo from our community

As for your unban appeal we can proceed to issue an unban however I want you to come clean about your age and we will look to unban you but with a blacklisting on our factions in place.

I did not reply as i am busy currently and thought that there was nothing i could do as i thought a ni was enough to prove that i am 16. I refuse to admit to another age but 16, Sorry to disappoint all of you. As for Jackdevo's ban it was unnecessary and stupid. Also the only platform he has me on was discord after making me aware of his ban.

@Lyds No it was not unnecessary and it was not stupid.

We have a duty of care to our members, most of them are under the age of 18 so when there is cause for concern we will certainly ban people and then issue advise to our members in which we have done tonight to people who are under 18 that he has gained there trust and personal mobile numbers from.

Jackdevo was showing some questionable behavior and has even covered up your age, In-fact he threw everything he built up in this community for his excitement for the prospect of a girl in the NHS who just so happens to turn out to be under 16. He has come forward and admitted to several members tonight that you are under 16.

2 of our staff team done some research into NI numbers and there are some questions raised about yours, but at this point I do not care I know you are lying so there wont be an unban.

I would however advise caution with Jackdevo and maybe consult a parent or guardian, We can only do so much and for our community's protection have taken the necessary steps in issuing advice and moving the individual from accessing our servers and forums.

As we keep all records, This is for future record purposes only just incase there is any issues we need to refer to this or if @Lyds ever appeals in the future or @Jackdevo

Upon the ban issued for community protection Jackdevo decided to create some childish Wikileaks style rant on a google document insulting our staff, making some untrue and outlandish claims about our development, infrastructure and funding and sharing it around the internet and to current members which Roleplay UK made no comment about and made no reaction to as we do not respond to this sort of stuff, Its not in our interests or our community's interests. (All staff have seen a copy of this)

Yesterday (30/12/2017) Jackdevo obtained the personal email addresses (from what we guess an internal document) and sent the following to the management team.

This was not shared publicly unlike his previous google document and again equally not taken as seriously however it confirms we was correct to issue the ban.











Today this now sits in Jackdevos trash

There has also been comments made elsewhere publicly which we were alerted to today.

To finish this off I feel we have correctly performed our duty of care in issuing a ban towards this player who abused his position, and then advising anyone who he has shared his number with about this incident (which happened on the day of the ban)

This is above and beyond the level of response and decent thing to do you will find anywhere online, There will be no appeals considered and both are for the record now on the permanent ban list.
