Wilco - 1D Community Ban
Reason given for your ban.
Toxic Attitude/Inviting Admins to other gaming communities on steam/Large number of warning points.
The Server you initially was banned on.
Teamspeak
In your own words, Please type why you think you was banned
I believe I was banned for a number of reasons, some I think are totally valid however others I believe are a misunderstanding and I think is unfair from my point of view they are being used against me.
For those of you that saw I posted a goodbye post around a month ago stating my desire to leave the server for an extended amount of time for a break. I wasn't sure myself if this was indefinite. In the final line of my post I said goodbye 'autists'. I realise this is unacceptable and regretted it straight away, however I had already been banned at this point and the autist was crossed out by a forum moderator I believe. If I wasn't banned I would of removed this from the post as soon as possible, although I do agree I shouldn't have done it in the first place.
Some time in the next few weeks I changed my name to Matt - Noncelife.co.uk on steam and messaged one of my friends. This was not a smear on this community, although I totally understand how it would come across that way as obviously some people have their names with - Altislife.co.uk at the end. I didn't have Wilco on my friends list at this time it was merely a private joke between two friends in a steam chat, I removed the name soon after.
I also invited Wilco and Neo to another gaming communities steam group as one night I had too many beers and thought it would be funny to do so, this was a stupid thing to do and at the time didn't realise I was burning my bridges of ever coming back during my break by doing this. I tried to add Wilco to steam the following day to apologise however communications were blocked which I totally get.
Another thing I believe was me adding the Head Admin of another community during this time. I did this because I was banned from their server for in his words 'stealing code like ciaran' and wanted to clear my name as I never have and never will steal any code from any community. Soon after our talk he unbanned me from his server and I deleted him of my friends list. I am not a member of any other communities, I have made many friends here and wish to re-integrate back.
The final reason I believe is my reputation on the forums and my excess of warning points. All my warning points have been totally just, however one was I believe a harmless joke, one was posting in the wrong section and another was a clerical error with admins at the time putting the same warning point on at the same time. There may be some things I have missed out and I am more than happy to answer for anything I have done.
Why should we unban you.
First of all I didn't think I was community banned in the first place, some time in the last 2 weeks I came on teamspeak and asked to speak with Neo to clear things up as I had only lost forum access (Which I thought was due to excess warning points not Wilco banning me) and I explained to him I was sorry for everything I did, including the 'autists' and the steam invites and wished to re-integrate into the community. It was also Neo's opinion I wasn't community banned so I began to play here again. I joined the police as a CSO, did all my tests and training and worked my way up back to PC recently. I also set up a roleplay bank with two friends and many people had positive reactions to this. I had absolutely zero intention of causing issues and just wished to play here again. The ban came around when I messaged Wilco on teamspeak yesterday to see if I could get my forum access back to which he responded to by community banning me as it was always his opinion I was.
I am not blaming Neo, he helped me out in getting back into the community and accepted my apology for the things I did. He was just under a different impression than Wilco regarding me and I have no problem with this, mistakes happen especially with so many people in the community. My point is that I do not believe I deserve to be exiled from the community as I may cause issues, I have no intention of doing so and I think I proved this by re-integrating myself for the previous weeks with no issues whatsoever. I understand why you may think this however due to my actions in the past.
I would also like to point out I have never been reported on the forums for anything. For the length of time I have been here I am proud of this fact and I have followed every rule from day one and totally respect anyone in game. I just think some of my silly antics on the forums may give me a false reputation.
I fully believe if you ask anyone in the community I have met/spoken to, from the command of the police to staff members and many rebel gangs they will have a different opinion of me than Wilco may have. I do not believe I am a toxic person, I am close to being in this community for 2 years this Spring and I have no issues with anyone and enjoy playing here a lot. I hope some members may back this and hopefully sway your opinion of me Wilco and also let me make it clear that I totally accept some of the things I've done were wrong and the thing on my leaving post offensive, especially to some members of the community who have that condition and I will apologise personally to them given the chance.
I have a lot of friends here and really enjoy being in this community or I wouldn't have been here for so long. I honestly am sorry for the silly things I have done and hope I can be given one final chance here, if not thanks for the consideration and for chances I've been given in the past especially as a developer. If anything needs to be cleared up I am more than happy to discuss anything with any of the admin team.
Thanks,
Matt.
