I believe it may have been due to me hearing a guy in global saying: "Shoot down the heli!" to which I responded in OOC with the meme "Do it faggot, I bet you wont".

Why should we unban you ?
I wasn't aware that I would be taken seriously and thus would be banned for saying "faggot". I understand it is my own responsibility to mind my language and I have read the rules, but I did not view the nature of the message to be rude as such. I apologise for my actions and in future I will take care to not be offensive in OOC chat.

Why would you even consider that word, you could easily say it without. 
 

 
As highlighted previously, it was in reference to a meme. After the ban I contacted the player who the abuse was "targeted" at and he said he did not take offence to it and understood that it was, as said, a meme.

No, but considering the "Target" was fine with it and understood it was a joke I do not believe the consequence fits the crime. My content was neither malicious or rude and the receipient had no complaints. I should not have used the language chosen, but I believe it was taken out of context which led to my ban. In addition I would like to apologise again for my actions as looking back on it I should have ignored the comments made in global chat.

Not in the slightest, I would just have liked to be spoken to so that the situation could have been better analysed. As previously stated I understand what I did was wrong and I will honour my promise that I will not cause an issue such as this again.

Edit: To add, I will be travelling to Gamescom in Germany so I will not be able to respond to this post for roughly 7 days, if a mod is able to freeze this topic until then that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for allowing me this extra time to respond.

If found in this situation again I would think before I messaged others and would assure my content shared with others was not offensive. I have learned from this experience and I promise not to repeat my actions.

 
So you think it's fine to call someone a "faggot" because it's a meme correct?

So you think it's okay to discriminate because it's a meme? which is actually quite ironic as you are well aware of the rule as you stated in OOC chat this before
