Hello, I hope all are doing well,
Its been a little over 7 months I believe since i was banned for combat logging, and have since gained thorough knowledge on the rules of RP through other cities, realizing what I did was unacceptable, and even more stupidly trying to lie myself out of the situation.
From what I can remember, i was downed by a grove member, and after waiting a little, got simply fed up and decided to switch off my computer, due to it being late and wanted to go to sleep. I was very new to rp at this point, with rpuk being my first ever city, and i did simply not read/thoroughly lean the rules enough. After my first appeal got denied, i then decided to question this in the discord, and when asked to stop, i simply kept going; a decision fueled by anger in the moment, and pure stupidity, which resulted in getting kicked from the discord.
As i said above, since then i have spent many hours in other cities, developing quality RP, learning all the ins and outs of what 'quality roleplay' really is, and this was not that.
The combat rule is simply in place to stop players getting an 'easy-exit' to roleplay, as i did in my instance. The rule creates a fair environment for all involved, to ensure (depending on the rp situation), everyone is treated fairly and is granted what they would've gained throughout the RP, e.g guns/valuable items etc. This would play crucial in any future encounters between two sides, as could be used against them.
I now know that the correct decision making, would have been to wait for the respawn timer to be active, and bleed out, no matter what before deciding to log off, and will 100% do this if I am ever in this situation again, you have my word.
If i was to be given a second chance, staff would instantly be able to see my development in RP standards. I would hope to try and get back in contact with some of my old friends who are still active in city, and with the progression of roleplay, try and develop an assassination group that thrives off of quality RP; something that I have perfected having made this group in other cities.
