Why do you think you were banned: I was banned due to the rule G1.2 - RDM, whereby I shot at a gang with no prior roleplay.
Why should we unban you: Hi Team, I appreciate you looking at this appeal.
Addressing the elephant in the room, Jessie has pointed out my horrible history with the rulebook. It has been a year since I was banned for RDM and poor judgment at the time. I had made an appeal a few months later, expressing that I take full accountability, and this has not changed.
Looking back, I realise I let a few negative encounters cloud my judgment, which led to the poor decision of shooting at another member of the community. Taking a year break from the server has really helped me reset, reflect on my behaviour, and grow as a person. I’m now a lot more mature and better at keeping my emotions in check and making more thoughtful choices. I understand the reasoning behind the RDM rule - it is there to make sure roleplay stays at the heart of the experience, keeps things fair for everyone, and prevents RPUK from turning into a server focused only on shooting.
Like I mentioned in my initial appeal the report behind my ban mentioned something that has stuck with me 'players should decide whether they’re here just to shoot or to deliver the kind of roleplay expected from a whitelisted gang'. That line really made me reflect. I want to live up to that expectation, to bring value to the community, show my growth, and help create an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy if given the opportunity.
