Why do you think you were banned: I was banned for breaking character and calling someone a faggot, someone was being held at gunpoint due to wearing a scarf and in my stupidity and trying to be a hero I called him out for "shit roleplay", I clearly hadn't understood the rules clearly enough as I was under the impression you must have high quality roleplay (attacking another player without engaging in any form of quality roleplay is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. “Put your hands up or I will shoot” and countdowns are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering violence.) I didn't think you could simply put a gun to someones head for the choice of clothing they are wearing and in doing so I broke character when I shouldn't have, if I had any issue I should have created my own ticket instead of breaking character.
The player in question asked who said that to which I replied "what's it got to do with you faggot", again this falls under C1.2 but I did not mean for it to be homophobic, even though it can be seen as a homophobic slur, that was not my intention, it was merely an insult. The staff member who banned me also banned me for C1.3 as he believed I was attacking him as a person rather than his character, this is not true, the insult was directed to his character.
Why should we unban you: I had been in the server consistently for the last 4 weeks or so and thought I had learned from my previous mistakes, I had engaged in solid roleplay and made many friends in the city and also was enjoying the progress of my RP, got myself a house, found a job etc. I am not a homophobic person, this insult was a slip of the tongue and I didn't intend for it to be taken as a homophobic insult. I'm not trying to justify myself but I have been called every name under the sun when in gang related situations in RP and even had death wished upon my family whilst the police stood by and done nothing, I just assumed it was part of RP, people curse and swear, but clearly saying faggot is not a word to be used under any circumstance.
If I also have any problems during RP I should raise these via the correct method i.e. raising a ticket of my own rather than breaking character. I did speak with the player in question in QE and we did quash the issue and he took no offence to this but did warn me staff may not be so forgiving when it comes to the choice of words I used, which I understood and he was indeed correct, it isn't welcome.
