Report a player

Your In-game Name: Josie Jo

Name of the player(s) you are reporting: Mick Surf

Which server did the incident take place on: GTA RP

Date of the incident: 11/12/20

Time of the incident (GMT): 550

What best describes this incident ?: (G1.2) and (G1.7)

Please (in detail) describe the incident: Player pulls up to delivery location and parks his truck in front of my oil container. I ask him to move and player does not move the vehicle. I wait for about a minute and then move the vehicle myself. Player then pulls out a shotgun and shoots me in the face as I carry on with my delivery. This is a violation of G1.2 as I was shot for no reason as well as told to "put hands up or I will shoot." I believe Mick is also a "community leader" and is supposed to provide a higher quality roleplay scenario instead of shooting someone for trying to do delivery jobs. This would violate G1.7.

@Mick surf

Is there anything you wish to add to this report?

Hello, all i have to say is i gave you fair warning. You repeatedly blew your horn at me & also knew that I was busy and id be 1 minute, you then proceed to get into my van and start moving it, I then gave you orders with a sawn off shotgun pointing at you and you then proceed to not listen to anything I have said and drive away hence being shot. Therefore not valuing your life breaking rule

(G2.4) Value of Life - At all times you are to value your life, if you are clearly outnumbered or at an obvious disadvantage you should comply with demands. That's all I have to say on the matter.

Is there any chance the two of you would like to resolve this between yourselves? The situation wasn't wonderful from either side and could certainly be reflected on to improve future interactions both between the two of you, and in general.

He never even spoke to me at all really but i dont mind resolving this with him in game, yes

...I was literally doing deliveries and he had time to move the vehicle. He honestly shouldn't be parking there to begin with and I clearly gave him time to move. I did absolutely nothing wrong here. Moving someone's vehicle 5 meters so that I can continue deliveries should NEVER result in death. Mick is supposed to be a community leader and engage in quality roleplay and this interaction is exactly what I see from the majority of players on here. Pulling out a gun and telling someone to not move their own vehicle to perform deliveries is poor roleplay and he was clearly just trying to be a dick. There is nothing to resolve here with him and I would prefer that he receive a ban to discourage actions like this in the future.

Furthermore, I'm not sure why rule G1.7 even exists if you aren't going to penalize players who violate said rule. Leaders on this server should be held accountable just like other players and perhaps even more so. This is a pretty clear cut case imo and a rebuttal of "I gave you fair warning" is ridiculous and laughable. Roleplay shouldn't be about killing other players, especially when one party clearly wants to move on with their business.

Right, onwards then.

Despite understanding that the parking of the truck on behalf of @Mick surfwas obnoxious at best, from what I can see, you didn't do yourself any favors by patronizing him at 0:34 by repeatedly asking him to move the truck. You've then decided to go and essentially break into his property by getting inside his truck and drive it away. All whilst quite clearly hearing that he's disgruntled about you doing so. Then, to make matters worse, whilst having a gun pointed at you you've called him "dumbass" three times. Not entirely sure what you expected to happen. At this point, mick has ordered you to comply with his demands whilst clearly having a shotgun to your head. You've ignored this and continued with what you were doing as if nothing has happened.

I see no breach of G1.2 at all. What I do see, as Mick has already pointed out, is a clear lack of our Value of Life rule. With a gun to your head you've insulted and patronized another player, ignoring six commands to stop what you're doing - you just continue with your job, further rubbing it into his face that you're ignoring him.

Action taken - G2.4 (2 days) - Josie Jo

@Mick surfin future, please be mindful of obvious spawn points for jobs and such. This entire situation could have been avoided had you not blocked an area that I'd wager you knew was commonly used for delivery missions. Despite this not being clearly stated in our rules, it could potentially be seen as Powergaming.

Your report has been dealt with, but perhaps not in the way you originally envisaged.

Whether this is beneficial or disadvantageous to you will depend entirely on the situation, and staff will have taken the most-appropriate action in the circumstances.
