20:00 Update

Added

  • Border Wars @Ciaran
    • Every Friday at 8PM a border war will begin, and the redzone will move to be near the current border.
    • Police and Poseidon will battle for the zones, and will gain points while being in the zones. Rebels can get involved for money / to sway the power balance of Altis.
    • During border wars:
      • Banks are not robbable
      • Poseidon gear is 50% off, but cannot be stored in houses during this period.
      • The FOBs do not currently move, but this may be implemented in the future depending on how the first border war goes.
    • If police win:
      • The poseidon border will be knocked back, up to a certain point.
      • Poseidon's existing checkpoints will be trashed if they are knocked back completely.
      • At full knock back, poseidon will get 10% less from drug dividends.
    • If poseidon win:
      • The poseidon border will consume Athira at the maximum, and will trash the Athira PD making it unavailable for Police.
      • They will get 15% off their weapons
      • They will get 10% extra drug dividends, and the area check for being in their area for this is expanded to Athira as well.
    • When the border is at a neutral state (as it is now), the server will be as it used to be.

  • Borderwars @Ciaran 
    • Poseidon and Police have their MRAP limit upped to 5 for both sides during Borderwars.
    • For balance purposes, the capture speed of the lesser numbered faction is increased relative to the larger faction. This is done by multiplying the capture rate by (Greater player count / Smaller player count), so if Poseidon has half the members, they will capture a point at twice the rate. This applies to the points gained after capturing the point too. Rebels are not included in these calculations and will always receive the base rate like the larger faction.
    • The above changes have been thought up by Police and Poseidon command together, and we intend to revisit this again to drive borderwars towards a more balanced experience.
  • Airdrop virtual items changed @Jaffa
    • Chance of getting blasting charges reduced
    • Items such as spike strips, gold bars and codebreakers have been added

Money Stash
The money stash is a new rebel on rebel heist. The basic principle is that the money stash gains money from the illegal sale of weapons. The percent of weapon sales it receives depends on how many gang members of the gang that owns the money stash are online. The money from this is stored inside the money stash building and can be collected by any member of the gang that currently own the money stash. To take over the money stash, the opposing gang must hack both security stations inside the building and then hack the vault itself. There needs to be 5 members of the gang who owns the money stash online before it is possible to hack it, however, between 20:00 and 00:00 it can be attacked regardless. 

City Guides
City guides is somewhere in-between a licensed job and and a whitelisted job. At the moment it is a licensed job but the license is not purchasable by the general public and will be given to people manually instead. The purpose of City Guides is to act as a new roleplay job with a focus on showing people around the island and providing "roleplay for the sake of roleplay". It is likely to start off by having strong links to the Sherpa scheme. However, we are not strictly limiting it to Sherpa members and people who believe they would suit a position in this pilot scheme should message myself or @Gordon. For the time being city guides have an SDV, an MB 4WD and a uniform, more information on the rules of City Guides will be published shortly if not already.

Run Price Changes
Obviously as of today there has been a complete overhaul to the way run prices are calculated, while this is hopefully a step in the right direction, I am aware it is likely not going to be perfect the first time. Please be patient and refrain from non-constructive posts on the forums. Rest assured I am not going to just go "they've had a run rework for this year, I'll look again in 2022". However, constructive criticism and suggestions are still very much desired and should be done through the usual means.
