This is the release of a Massive Altis Life UK map change, optimisation, old unused code removed and new routes etc, Too many to list but happy to accept feedback/bugs & any route suggestions over the next week on this thread here

Added - New RP signs and Billboards (Credit @Wilco@CI Joseph Tadworth)

Amended - Drug prices amended, Goldbar price amended

Removed - Gang bases, The board as voted that gang bases are to be removed, In the future we will look for our development team to code more features that rebels and gangs can get more enjoyment and Roleplay from.

Removed - The board has voted for a copyright/trademark removal, Therefore various skins/textures have been removed so we can operate above board, More tasteful and custom made skins and textures & clothing will be added in the future.

Ongoing map amendments continue, Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback

Added - 2 New billboards that advertise the forum (Credit@CI Joseph Tadworth)

Map Amendments

  • Amendment to some previous code so laptops/stuff do not sink (slight performance increase)
  • Gold buyer - 1 moved just outside Kavala / the other deep within the UNMC territory.
  • Agios Police removed, Kavala HQ & Athria HQ will police the island however will add in a depot for other units further on
  • Kavala Bank moved away from the greenzone
  • Greenzone improved, Its clear where the hobo/safe area now is
  • Kavala Pub now fixed (Get selling that cider!)
  • Drug dealers moved out of the citys to eerie looking places.
  • UNMC drug dealer location to become multi processor
  • Amendments to legal/illegal routes
  • Another chop shop added
  • Various other changes.

Altis Updates return! This is now live on S2 and will be rolled out to S1 at 12am

Fixed - For most people the clientside crash should now be fixed, make sure you using the default arma 3 settings you can revert to these in the launcher rather than old mallocs that some people have been saying to use ?

Update - Server 2 returns to daily operation, Sorry about the downtime it was being used for testing over the past few days

Added - Rhib (First Apex item in altis) is now in the boat shop

Added - Amendments to Kavala Square (Parking that was in the road removed)

& 50% Sale is now over, You can donate if you want to see it return for 10 days next month

Minor update happened at midnight tonight (2nd/3rd Sep)

  • Donator-Goal half-price sale begun.
  • Bugfix for the Enemy/Rating glitch (shoot someone, can't get in their car, can't access inventory, etc)

New fings, @ 20:00 4th Nov:

  • Admins (in uniform only) get access to a lot of cop features. Top Secret! No, really. You'll find out if you're naughty. ;)
  • Donator Sale set ON (50%) and a new method added so we don't need to ship a build everytime we change this! Yay!
  • Weather system - winds allowed to random up to Force 8 on the Beaufort Scale, for 'fun' landings occasionally. Plus other minor refinements to display, etc.
  • Weapon Shop - some dupes removed, conflicting prices fixed.
  • Rented vehicles may now be returned to any garage... IF you were the hiring party, or a keyholder. Stolen that rental? Hard luck buddy... they won't take it back from you.
  • Tweaks to the vehicle decamp scripts, to aid in serving justice. Yeah, that's all I'm saying for now.
  •  Fix for the 'I joined the server in the last 5 minutes of a session, lost all me gear and got 5k in the bank and a T-shirt' bug. (This was a bitch to find! Thanks to the admin and supporters that helped us pinpoint this monster!)
  • Halloween bunting removed (but the halloween costumes will be around for a few more days)
  • Custom Faces disabled again (sorry!)
  • Fries - buy price now set more than sell price. Yeah, we noticed, you naughty chipshop-raiding cheaters. Game over!
  • Taxi uniform now buyable. Wear it with pride as you fall asleep at the wheel and kill your fare.
  • Oil Trader marker removed from Lakka. He moved to UNMC lands, but we forgot to move his dot! Derp.

    That's all folks. I love release day. I get to eat on release day. The boss even lets me see the sun on release day... if he hasn't put the clock forwards eleven hours. ;)

Update going out at 20:00 17/11/2016:

Added:

  • RPUK Vehicle Cleanup Script - This new script works based on the time since the vehicle was last used / interacted with. For each type of interaction a different amount of time is added before cleanup:
    • You will be notified two minutes before your vehicle will be cleaned up via a chat message.
    • You will be notified when one of your vehicles gets cleaned up.
    • You will be notified when someone interacts with your vehicle if it is on it's 2 minute delete notice (mentioned above).
    • Times are as follows:
      • Vehicle Spawned - New vehicles just spawned will have a 2 minute timer on before they disappear, this means that hobos will be less able to hold up you taking your vehicles out. This applies to all spawn points, be rented/purchased cars or garages.
      • First member enters a vehicle / last member exits vehicle - 15 minute delay before cleanup.
      • Occupied - If the vehicle is occupied when the cleanup script runs (every 2 minutes), then the vehicle will have a 10 minute delay until cleanup.
      • Inventory Interaction - If the vehicle virtual inventory is used, the vehicle will have a 10 minute delay added before cleanup. The vehicle will always skip cleanups while the inventory is open (in case you have the inventory open for 10+ minutes, in order to prevent exploits). This 10 minute delay will also be added when the vehicle inventory is closed.
      • Generic Interaction - Windows key menu is operated, anyone can do this on your car, 5 minute delay until cleanup. (TBJ EDIT - now includes lockpicking, and toggling your doorlocks with U-Key)
      • Last Driver Died - When the last person in the drivers seat dies, and the vehicle is in 1km of the death zone, the vehicle receives a 15 minute cleanup delay, designed to allow the player to return in 'NLR bypass' events defined in the rules. This will only happen once - meaning dying twice unless you have got in the drivers seat in between will not extend the time again - even if you are back in range.
    • The delays do not stack, yet the largest delay will be used. For example, entering a vehicle, then accessing the inventory will keep the 15 minute time, as it is longer.
    • Thanks to the testing team and @TinyBigJacko for helping with testing this new system. If you find anything you find to be discrepant - please report it in the appropriate forum.

Also featured in today's update are the following fixes:

  • Restraint warning messages should now be visible again, centre-screen.
  • Admins are now able to seize restrained player's weapons (thank you @Ciaran).
  • Selling houses now works again. Houses will sell regardless of crate and house-inventory contents, so empty them before you call the estate agents! No comps for foolishness!
  • NCA hat purchase now correctly limited to only NCA team members.
  • Many chairs throughout the map are now sit-down-onnable.
  • Loads of extraneous map objects made 'simpleObject' for speed, plus other map minor tweaks
  • Vehicle virtual-item inventories tweaked (HEMTT covered gets some allocation, plus minor rejigs of most trucks, Blackfish gets some inventory too. No Spoilers!!).

Changed:

  • Max Ping has been set to 200ms
  • Packet Loss Maximum has been set to 25%

Please note that this may mean that players from extremely distant regions may experience trouble playing, yet most people from the USA and EU should be fine concerning ping (assuming you aren't on satellite internet...)

If you are reaching the maximum packet loss, there is most likely a problem within your last mile connection, or connectivity to your router. Try asking in the Tech Support forum or contact your ISP if this is happening (ArmA would be pretty unplayable at >25% loss)

  • New, improved shop system in place for Weapons and Clothing (all shops, all factions). Features preview camera and shopping cart (use mouse left and right buttons while in preview mode to spin player or camera). Purchases will attempt to be stored to Uniform, Vest or Backpack first (in that order). Option to skip purchase and avoid losing cash-value if item would replace existing item, uniform, clothing or gun+attachments (i.e. the old way).
  • New notication system - see all those missing hints of cash and XP you were always missing before - not fully rolled out to all notifications yet (nice one @Ciaran).
  • New HUD mode indicators - see your earplug, wanted, can't-shoot, and other statuses, bottom left of screen. @Ciaran
  • New HUD bars @Ciaran
  • New loading screen @Ciaran
  • Christmas flavour - mince pie, tinsel, and some morsels of strange food your Nan brought you back from the Christmas German Market
  • Many NPCs replaced with Info-Stands (to keep those ol' frame-rates up). This is a stress-test... we might yet see them back, but we want to analyse what impact this has on server performance under maximum load, and releasing it live is the only way to check this out properly.
  • Fixes to UNMC recruit loadouts (you naughty soldiers you!)
  • Bounty-hunters and UNMC can now perform Restrain action if target player is prone, knocked out, or has hands-on-head. Not during tase (never grab a flinching hobo), and not without some opportunity to RP, we hope.
  • NHS personnel menus fixed in Athira and Pyrgos hospitals (no helis though - that is a Kavala-only thing - but you have your clothing and gear shops back everywhere).
  • Bounty-hunters now get half-bounty for successfully jailing a wanted person. We thought you were doing it for love, but no... now have cash!
  • Vehicle cleanup - doorlock interaction and lockpicking interaction now delay de-spawn for another 5 minutes. You can finish those Treasury raids now, eh? Just don't lose your keys!
  • New custom clothing - thanks to @Xsum for his Christmas spirit. And his paints, thinners, and methylated spirit.
  • Halloween clothing no longer on sale, and locked in shops. You can still wear your old skeleton gear, but not if you want to get all Christmassy! Only one custom civvy texture at once, folks! Makes 'em special...
  • Turtle soup processing now possible again! Not hard to make money at this now... apart from shooting and grabbing the buggers!
  • NCA vehicle garage fixed - you can get your cars out there again now, Mr Plod.
  • Rebel Hellcat no longer spawns in Police livery... but you have a nice rebel black instead. Mohawk also fixed (but nobody noticed this one!)
  • Various typos fixed (we can spell Pyrgos, honest!)
  • New car skins - competition winners - Thanks Proctor, Tactical Panda and Scott McTavish

  • Air vehicles now have a buff of their fuel tanks.
  • Viper Masks removed from shops as well as from the database
  • Removed all military event gear that was spawned in for today's event from the database.
  • RedZone now has an exclusion area around the outposts - cancelled
  • Some missing AR gear returned to shops
  • Weapon-shop middle-panel custom displaynames working
  • BountyHunter taser weapons only work for uniformed BHs, and can tase anyone whether wanted or not.
