As you all know, we pride ourselves on being a serious Roleplay community. Part of this pride is borne from providing ALL of our community members with an enjoyable RP experience they can be proud of. Sometimes, however, there are individuals and even groups of players who put their own interests before those of others and degrade the RP and enjoyment for all concerned - this is bad for the community as a whole.

We have a number of ways to deal with these issues: With individuals we have the report a player section but sometimes, when groups of players have a habitual habit of breaking rules and demonstrate that RP is a secondary objective to satisfying their own needs we have to act on a much larger scale to protect the community and its members.

So today, the management with full support of the community manager and community liaison are issuing a blanket ban for the gang: ‘Pavilion’.

We don’t take this action lightly. Several members of this gang have consistently demonstrated that RP is not their primary objective and despite continued warnings and discussion over a prolonged period of time, it’s clear they have an unwillingness to contribute here in a positive way. Therefore, their existence in an ‘RP First’ community cannot continue in its current form and all members of ‘Pavilion’ are now banned.

Each member is free to appeal this ban but I would urge all appeals to be conciliatory and genuine which clearly demonstrate your ‘RP first’ approach. I’d also advise you take time to carefully think before you post. The gang ‘Pavilion’ however, will cease to exist and PAV tags should not be used.

A note for gangs:

All gangs should be aware that if it is deemed you have a gang culture which doesn’t promote RP above all else, you are walking a thin line. I advise all gang leaders to ensure you have an internal method of re-education or even dismissing members who reflect badly on the gang or risk a blanket ban.  Additionally, members of gangs who do intend to value RP above all else should actively encourage their co-members to do the same - to avoid being caught up in a gang-wide ban.

Finally, If you are experiencing difficulties as a leader or member of a gang playing on our servers, we encourage you to seek the assistance of the community liaison or community manager who will be happy to advise on the best way to ensure your gang acts in the manner expected.
