Riddles!

Recently I started posting some status's on my profile of some riddles, and got a few people answering, so instead of spamming that feed I decided to create a topic.

Anyone who has any good riddles or mind-tricks or anything along those lines post them here, would love to try get the brain working on some! If you don't have any but have a good mind, start answering some :)

Make sure you tag our quote the creator of the riddle so they can see when someone posts an answer for it :)

I shall begin..

Imagine you are in a dark room with a locked door. All you have with you is a rope and a pencil. You can hear the rain outside, but there
are no windows. How do you get out?

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say my piece. You say you're imagining your in this room, would you have to wake up smell the coffee and you're out, or are we imagining that we're in this scenario to give it some RP value

if thats the case, Draw a window and abseil down.

(im not too good at riddles, but i have got a good imagination for the impossible)

Haha, nice concept, but not the correct answer!

 
I come in many different shapes and colours.

In different countries I have different numbers of claws.

I am useless without the place that I live and the place I live is useless without me.

What am I?

(I just made this up so please no hate if its too easy xD I thought it would be more interesting if it cannot be googled)
