New attachment slot in Arma?

So i was using my MK 1 today and noticed there was a new attachment slot on it ( http://prntscr.com/99uglp ) . 

Anyone got a clue why it is there and what can go there as i have not got a clue , thanks

Cheers had a feeling it was something to do with the under barrel , won't be used by us in Altis life though.

Well from my knowledge they get smoke grenades they can shoot from , but this rarely occurs , would be cool to see it happen a lot more.
